Tackles are a difficult part of football. The risk of getting hurt or hurting the other player is always there. But what if a player purposefully tackles other players to injure them? Well, obviously, this is the worst possible thing a player could do. Enter Kerby Joseph. The NFL safety has tried it several times and this time fans have caught him.

Well, reporter Dov Kleiman discovered a video of Kerby Joseph attempting to tackle Tucker Kraft. While he failed the tackle, you can slow down the video to see what went wrong. Joseph’s strategy was to tuck his head first and then launch with the help of his legs. This caused him to collide with the other player, landing on their knees.

This is a horrible way of tackling, as it can give the other player some serious injury. Dov Kleiman stated the same in his X post’s caption, This clip of #Lions safety Kerby Joseph trying to tackle #Packers TE Tucker Kraft has gone viral with many fans calling him a ‘dirty player.’ for going low”

Fans want Kerby Joseph to get injured by tackling in this manner

Well, it is not uncommon for fans to have negative feelings toward an NFL player. And the same is true for the Lions‘ safety. One fan noted on X that Kerby Joseph’s method is really dangerous to play. And if the man continues to do that, he will eventually harm himself. The fans’ comment read, “He always tucks his head and goes for knees with his helmet. Can’t wait until he takes himself out.”

This wasn’t the only fan pointing out Kerby Joseph’s incorrect technique. As another fan pointed out, how many times has Kerby performed this type of tackle: “He has done this multiple times to multiple different players. No level of football teaches you to tackle like this. Lowering your head and diving. It looks exactly like targeting except it’s at the knees instead of head. 1. Lowering crown of helmet 2. Launching off your feet”

While these two were explanation comments, other fans demanded that Kerby should be punished. Their point being this is not only an illegal intellectual tackle, but also a method to harm someone else’s career, for which Kerby Joseph should face jail time. The comment read, “He should be in jail!!!”

Furthermore, some fans begin to claim that the safety made a dirty play. One fan straightaway shouted, “He is a dirty player.” While some other fans claimed that they were already aware of the whole ‘dirty player‘ bit of the safety: “The dirty player part is pretty known.”

The animosity for Kerby became so strong that fans began calling him names as well. One fan angrily commented, “S—bag only dives for knees.” Although all of these comments are calling out the safety, there is a chance that he is not doing it intentionally.
