Last year when the Ravens were set to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the season’s Week 8 game, ahead of the showdown, Bucs QB Tom Brady posted an enigmatic message for Lamar Jackson. Brady posted a picture of himself and the 26-year-old QBs and wrote a caption of “You’re Next” on his IG. When asked in a press conference, Jackson replied, “He’s got seven of them, so hopefully that’s what I’m next to.”
He playfully responded to the challenge posed by Brady and stated that Brady might be hinting that he is next in line behind him, and will aim to win seven Super Bowls like him. Interestingly proving his worth and statements, during that showdown, Jackson led his team 27-22 victory over Tom Brady and his struggling Buccaneers with his 238 yards thrown and two TDs after half-time.
