Josh Dobbs the aerospace engineer, hit the field for the Minnesota Vikings at supersonic speed. Despite not even training once with the team, Dobbs displayed his skill, precision, and mindset with ease. The QB credits his former coach for all of that!
Dobbs was traded by the Arizona Cardinals to the Vikings on 31st October 2023. After the starter QB Jalen Hall left the game due to a concussion, in stepped Dobbs. He lit the gridiron with his performance and praised his first-ever coach in the NFL.

Dobbs was picked in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is when he met HC Mike Tomlin, despite playing for six different teams, including a second stint at the Steelers. The 28-year-old QB hasn’t forgotten HC Tomlin’s advice.

After the comeback victory against the Falcons, Dobbs said to the media, “But then it was, hey if you are playing, you gotta go out there and play.” #15 further credited the mindset that has been instilled in him by saying, “The team still expects you to go out and win and play good football. In this league, there’s never an excuse for your circumstance. I learned that from Coach T.”

It will be tough to deny Dobbs a starting spot after his stellar performance in the comeback win. But as the Vikings prepare to get their season back on track, anything is possible against the New Orleans Saints.

The Vikings (5-4) are coming off a thrilling win over the Falcons in London and will now be the hosts for the Saints next. The Saints (5-4) are also riding a three-game winning streak, after defeating the Chicago Bears 28-25 in week 9.
Both teams have playoff aspirations, and this game could have implications for the seeding and tiebreakers. This game will be a rematch of the 2022 NFC wild-card round, which the Vikings won 28-25 in New Orleans.
