Davante Adams has now become a veteran in his 10 season in the NFL. He saw his career begin with the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. However, after his trade to the Las Vegas Raiders, things have not been up to Adams’ standards. It was mentioned some time ago that the wide receiver is wasting his career with the Raiders. But how much truth does this hold? The trade opportunities are ending soon, and Adams still finds himself stuck with the Raiders.

He signed a whopping $140 million deal with the Raiders in 2022, which might or might not come to an end soon with the trading season in full swing. But Adams is still stuck in his glory days. Adams played for quite some time with Rodgers’ Packers and it seems that he still has some attachment to the golden era of the Packers, especially Aaron Rodgers.

During a recent interview with sportscaster Rich Eisen on The Rich Eisen Show, Adams tells us more about his situation right now. There are some rumors that indicate that Davante Adams might be thinking of moving to the Jets, given that Aaron Rodgers is their quarterback. Speaking to Eisen, he said, “We try to keep a pretty good line of communication, just because we both obviously miss each other a lot.” This could indicate that he might be looking for an opportunity to take his absence from the Raiders as the trade deadline approaches. But that seems unlikely right now.

Davante Adams had one of the best times in his career when he was playing with Aaron Rodgers. However, he has been clear on his stance in interviews. Highlighting this with Eisen, he said, “I will say this, I am happy to be a Raider, one hundred percent. This was my choice and this is something that I’m standing by and want to continue to work at to make it what it’s supposed to be. I’m not happy at every moment at the way things go, but I’m definitely proud to wear this uniform.”

What exactly were the things he wasn’t happy about? Well, the release of Derek Carr has created some apprehensions about the Raiders in Adams’ mind. The veteran QB was released earlier this year and plays with the Saints as of now.

Though this cannot be said for sure, Adams had a sub-par season with the Raiders. Though the team is trailing 3-4, there is still a chance for them to bounce back. However, coming back to Adams, he made 46 receptions this season for 528 yards and 3 touchdowns in total. The numbers are not bad, but they aren’t good either.

We are talking about a veteran athlete who has been in the league for about a decade. Till now, he has 90 touchdowns in his career with more than 10,000 receiving yards. These are the numbers of a player who can very easily make it to the Super Bowl. This raises the question of whether the Raiders have put a halt to his career. What would his career look like if he played with Rodgers?
