Who’s the better QB: Lamar Jackson’s agility or Josh Allen’s arm strength? Let the debate begin!

NFL fans are eagerly awaiting the highly anticipated Week 4 battle between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. On one hand, Josh Allen’s team is coming in fresh with three consecutive wins. On the other hand, Lamar Jackson’s squad is entering the game with their first win in three games this 2024 NFL season. As they prepare to face off, let’s take a look at some key details about these two quarterbacks and their matchup history.

The Bills vs Ravens is slated to kickoff on Sunday, September 29, at 8:20 p.m. ET at M&T Bank Stadium. And the interesting part here is the battle between the two quarterbacks – Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson – the QBs who both got selected in the 2018 draft class. Since then, Jackson and Allen have faced each other thrice as starting quarterbacks of their respective teams.

So, talking about their previous battles, in 2019, Jackson led the Ravens to victory, throwing three touchdowns in a windy Buffalo game. But Allen took the revenge in the next. That happened in their next meeting, during the 2020 playoffs, where Allen’s Bills won the game. This win for them came especially after Jackson threw a key interception and left the game due to injury. But many wondered that due to Jackson’s before-time exit, Allen won the playoffs.

So, who will win?

According to Stat Head, Lamar Jackson has 313 passing yard records, with 4 touchdowns, 3 INTs, and 63.8% completion rate in three games against Josh Allen. On the other hand, Allen has 433 yards, two TDs, 1 INT, and 46.7% completion rate in those three games. Looking at these stats, it’s clear both the quarterbacks give each other a close game. So now, according to recent predictions for the upcoming matchups, via FOX Sports, “the Ravens (1-2) are slight favorites (-2.5) over the Bills (3-0).

Besides that, Jackson thrives on designed plays. He often reads the defense like a chess master. Meanwhile, when we talk about Allen, his strength lies in his ability to take off during broken plays. Hence, he knows how to turn scrambles into big gains.

Therefore, both can give each other an equal competition on Sunday. So, it remains to be seen whether Lamar Jackson and the team stop the unbeatable Josh Allen and his Bills or not.
