The Super Bowl LVIII is over. However, the teams who were expected to win the last season, are still in the grudges of disappointment at losing the chance. Among these teams, for Cam Newton, it’s the Baltimore Ravens.

Lamar Jackson’s team reached the AFC championship’s final round at first, owning the league’s best record–13 wins and 4 losses. With this score, they were considered to be the new team to win the Super Bowl. However, they met a roadblock as the Chiefs in the AFC final round. But where did they fail? Cam Newton suggested advice for Jackson and company, if they want to fulfill their Super Bowl ambitions.

There is just one thing for Lamar Jackson to be careful of?

In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Shannon Sharpe was joined by Cam Newton to discuss football and fashion. During the conversation, Sharpe eagerly asked Newton’s choice of quarterback among the list of “Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott, and Jalen Hurts,” who he thinks can win the Super Bowl. Newton quickly replied, “Lamar.” To which Sharpe recalled Jackson’s performance in the AFC game despite giving stellar performances in the regular season.

Upon explaining it further, the 34-year-old, Newton, said, “I think one thing that Lamar and the Ravens organization just has to figure out is how to win the ugly games. It’s one of the situations like sometimes when I look at Lamar it’s like bro stop thinking and it’s easy for a guy with that much talent to think oh it’s so many like as a chef you can prepare this meal in so many different ways but everybody know your signature….and get on about your day you got the win find a way to win the ugly games.”

Newton emphasized the importance of finding a win even when things aren’t going smoothly, citing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs as an example. He also highlighted the Patriots’ ability to win in tough situations during Tom Brady’s tenure as an example of a team that excelled at finding a way to win.

Why did Lamar fail in the AFC game?

The Ravens stood by Lamar Jackson after their loss to the Chiefs, despite his disappointing performance. Many critics believed that Jackson had a tough game, making mistakes that contributed to the defeat. He struggled with his decision-making, holding onto the ball for too long and missing opportunities to pass.

Furthermore, Jackson looked helpless in front of the Red Army, as he was even unable to run from his place. His deep throws were off-target, and he reportedly failed to sense pressure from the defense, leading to a costly turnover.
