Lamar Jackson raised some eyebrows after he missed the mandatory training camp. This time, with his off-season shenanigans he’s back to raise some more brows. Apparently, the Baltimore Ravens QB wants to take over France, and that’s exactly where he is at right now. Well, a lot of football stars including Joe Burrow, Myles Garrett, Travis Kelce, etc. are in France right now, but that’s a different story.

The Ravens QB took to Instagram recently and shared some glimpses of his trip to Europe. A trip to France is incomplete without visiting the Eiffel Tower, and that’s what Jackson did. He took a video standing beneath the historic monument, looked up while recording and said, “up there,” and started laughing. Perhaps the tower is unbelievably high.

His next story entails a photo of him standing below the Eiffel Tower is it hosts the Olympic Rings for the upcoming Paris Olympics, that are about to start in a month or so. Jackson’s wearing some expensive bracelets on his right hand, that’s for sure. However, his next photo is what will catch many by surprise. Does the QB know how to speak French?

His next Story shows a photo of him taking a selfie with the Paris sunset in the background. Everything looks picture perfect! But Jackson has a message for his French audience. The picture is captioned, je dois prendre cette bih, which might roughly translate to “I gotta take this bih.”

Perhaps he’s talking about the selfie, or he’s genuinely interested in taking over France by some means, who knows? What we do know is that Jackson sacrificed a lot to be enjoying a little more time off in France.

Lamar Jackson shocks the football world with his absence

Jackson missing out on mandatory training may be aggravating to hear for some, but what’s more alarming is that he missed out on a fat bonus of $705k due to that reason. However, that’s a small dent in his massive 5-year $260 million deal with the Ravens. Also, the QB might have to suffer the same fate as Aaron Rodgers and Brandon Aiyuk if he’s asked to cough up fines as high as $101k.

But Jackson felt like not addressing his absence or his bonus situation with the media. “I never discuss my contract up here. I’m not about to start today,” Jackson told reporters during the Baltimore Ravens’ mandatory minicamp on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

“I’m focusing on just getting better and focusing on tomorrow. We just had a great practice. We’re just trying to keep it going. Then, when [training] camp comes, camp is going to come,” added the QB. But while Jackson has a “chip on his shoulder” after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, he’s taking things surprisingly easily.
