Lamar Jackson, the Ravens quarterback, isn’t taking it easy this offseason. Instead of lounging around, he’s been putting in the work, and it’s paying off. In an Instagram segment called “I Got Time Today” by Complex Sports, Jackson revealed that he’s back to his 2019 MVP weight and expressed enthusiasm to win against the Texans.

Jackson’s resurgence to his MVP weight also hints at a “revenge season” mentality. After a stellar 2019 campaign where he earned the league’s highest honor, Jackson faced criticism following a less impressive 2020 season. The star looks to raise the bar!

Countering to social media chatter about his physique, Jackson said, “Most definitely. I was 230 two years ago. I was 215 last season, but now I’m like 205.” In 2022, Jackson bulked up to 220 pounds and aims to add muscle mass. Despite this, he decided to slim down by 5 pounds last year and went on to win his second MVP award.

His weight loss comes after a season where he won his second MVP award, showcasing his skills as a passer and a runner. In the 2021 season, Lamar completed 67.2 percent of his passes for 3,678 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

Fans and analysts alike have taken notice of Jackson’s transformation. Kevin Oestreicher of Locked On Ravens noted that Jackson appeared noticeably slimmer, indicating his commitment to fitness. Strength & Conditioning Coordinator Scott Elliott expressed excitement about Jackson’s physical condition, stating, “Lamar is in great shape, and what it’s allowing us to do is to add lean muscle on top of it. He added, “I’ve never been more excited in April for Lamar Jackson.”

You guys have a great night.” Jackson addressed the criticism during a segment, saying, “That’s awful. I mean, we did pretty good against the Texans, dog. We just fell one game short. We gonna bounce back. And when we kill him, I want you to retweet this dawg.”
