Washington Huskies offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten’s dream was fulfilled when he was selected as the No. 62 overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens. Roger expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play for the Ravens and expressed the gratitude.

Lamar shared the video of Rosengarten expressing gratitude with three teary-eyed emojis on X. Roger said, “I mean, as soon as I heard Baltimore, you know, that’s the first thing that came to mind, blocking for Lamar, an elite level quarterback and MVP level quarterback. I mean, it’s a dream come true. Baltimore is one of those places where it’s been a historic program for such a long time. ” He further stated that it was a great feeling when his name was announced and everyone congratulated him for his selection.

The Ravens were under pressure to secure a strong blocker on Day 2 of the draft, and Rosengarten emerged as the ideal candidate. The Ravens’ decision to draft Roger showcases their confidence in his abilities. With his size, strength, and determination, he is expected to contribute to the team’s success. General Manager Eric DeCosta expressed satisfaction with the team’s decision to draft Rosengarten. DeCosta said, “He was one of our top players in the entire round. We were fortunate we got him when we did.”

One remarkable aspect of Rosengarten’s college career is his ability to maintain a clean record of not conceding a single sack, despite playing in a pass-heavy offensive system. His athleticism is further highlighted by his exceptional footwork and proficiency in advancing upfield during running plays. With 28 starts over the past two seasons for Washington, Rosengarten has showcased his talent.

“He was just so on point. He knew his technique, knew his assignments,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh remarked, expressing his confidence. In a Combine meeting, Rosengarten showcased his self-awareness and motivation, qualities that align with the Ravens’ values.

Rosengarten himself is confident in his abilities. He said, “I feel confident within run, pass, screens, getting out in space. I feel confident in it all.” Regardless, of the play type, Roger is expected to contribute hugely to the Ravens’ offensive line rebuild in the 2024 season and the upcoming years.
