It looks like Lamar Jackson is being realistic about winning the Lombardi Trophy and doesn’t require time to celebrate the win against the Houston Texans. The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Houston Texans with a final score of 34-10. Despite Jackson only throwing for 152 yards, the Ravens won in a blowout manner.
The Ravens QB1 appeared in the presser after the game ended and spilled the tea about his plans going forward this post-season. Safe to say that Jackson isn’t getting complacent before the team accomplishes what remains the final target. For Jackson, it’s the small wins that lead to the penultimate prize.

A reporter asked the quarterback whether this win made him feel like he was close to the Lombardi Trophy or not, especially after the Ravens made their way to the conference championship game first time since 2012. However, Jackson thinks that the road ahead is long, and the team needs to “finish” well to put a positive end to all their efforts.
“No, because we got to finish you know. Still playoffs we’re not even in the dance yet. But I’m looking forward to next week. To be honest with you, I’m not even thinking about Super Bowl until we handle business,” said Jackson in a response to the reporter.
It’s like the Ravens didn’t allow CJ Stroud to gain a lot of yardage and held him down to 0 points after the second quarter. Most of the Ravens’ points either came from Lamar Jackson running himself or Justin Tucker kicking the ball down. Also, the Ravens picked up their pace in the 4 quarter when they scored 3 back-to-back TDs and 17 points in the last quarter alone.

The third quarter started with Lamar Jackson going for a 15-yard TD run. Come the fourth quarter, the whole scenery of the M&T Bank Stadium changed. It started when Isaiah Likely received a 15-yard TD pass from Lamar Jackson. After that, it was hard to put a stop to Jackson as he made another 8-yard TD run with 6:20 left on the clock.
The final points came from Justin Tucker’s 43-yard game-winning field goal. Lamar Jackson didn’t pass for more than 152 yards, but he made up for it with his touchdown runs. Jackson made 16 of his 22 passes and came out with a 72.7 completion rate and two touchdowns. His passer rating by the end of the game was 121.8.
