The Baltimore Ravens are back with a bang! With their recent win over the Texans, Lamar Jackson‘s squad has dethroned the Pittsburgh Steelers from the top spot in the division. They now have 11 wins in their winning column. On the other side, Mike Tomlin‘s guys let the coach down after losing the game to the Chiefs. If you don’t secure it, you’re going to lose. For most of the season, they held onto the No. 1 spot in the AFC North and just slipped a spot when a win was much needed. Anyway, it’s the Ravens’ day today. Jackson is happy after taking the team to the playoffs, and he has a message for the defensive lineup after the win.

The Ravens crushed the Texans 31-2—wow, there was even a chance for a shutout. You know how Lamar has always been a responsible leader. After the win, the QB apologized to the defense for letting Houston score 2 points and missing out on the shutout. We’re gonna take full responsibility…..they’ve just been playing lights out the last few games. I believe we’re starting to practice with those guys just communicating and how they’re preparing for the games. And like I said, I’m sorry for the two points,” said the QB.

Last week, the Packers became the first team to record a shutout this season after beating the Saints 34-0. Then, this week, there was a possibility of another shutout. But as it slipped out of the Ravens’ hands, Lamar Jackson is a bit upset about it. Well, somebody tell the QB that it’s okay to let the rival team put something on the board. For the Texans, it’s already an embarrassing loss. This is their second straight loss, following a previous one against the Chiefs. The Texans, who are at the top of the AFC South, are stuck at nine wins, and this is not the right time to be taking losses.

The Ravens QB isn’t just upset about missing a shutout but there is another reason too. And that’s missing out on Beyoncé’s halftime show!

Ravens ‘locked in’ Lamar Jackson during the halftime show

The Texans fans might be upset after their team’s loss, but at least they got to be sad while listening to Beyoncé. Folks who attended the game at the stadium were lucky, they got to watch the megastar live. The NFL is keeping up its tradition of inviting artists to perform during the halftime show on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Fans were pretty excited to see Beyoncé take the stage during the game’s halftime. For Ravens fans, it might have been their best Christmas ever. And it’s Beyoncé we’re talking about, so it wasn’t just the fans who were excited. Lamar Jackson was more than excited to watch the ‘Halo’ songstress performing live.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Lamar Jackson's apology a sign of leadership or just unnecessary humility after crushing the Texans?

Have an interesting take?

Although the players are supposed to be in the locker room having meetings with the coaches and planning strategies, the Ravens QB was adamant about attending the show. “I’m going to go out there and watch. I’m going to go out there and watch. First time seeing Beyoncé perform, and it’s at our game – that’s dope. I’m going to go out and watch. Sorry (to coach John) Harbaugh, sorry. Sorry, fellas,” said Jackson before the game. But there was no way the Ravens were letting their QB slip out like that during such an important game. The team did what they had to. They kept Lamar “locked in” while Queen B was performing out there.

Uh-oh! That’s sad. Some another time maybe. For now, Lamar can focus on winning the last game and then, after that, conquering the playoffs. Once the season is over, he can plan to watch Beyoncé live whenever she’s performing.
