Home/NFL

If you didn’t know Lamar Jackson is a multi-sport enthusiast, here’s your cue. A couple of days ago, we saw the Ravens QB attending the Preakness Stakes, posing in front of his Cyber Truck. Now, the 2x MVP is attending the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Not only that but he was also seen sporting a Ryan Blaney shirt, perhaps that’s his favorite.

Ryan Blaney is the NASCAR defending champion and the racing sport needs the attention of all the big names it can get. Perhaps in football terms, the racer is following in the footsteps of Patrick Mahomes, and we might see his name everywhere soon. But for now, it looks like his team is excited to have Lamar Jackson support them in their venture.

The QB’s Instagram Stories are full of pit lane photos and him watching the race from inside the facility. A Charlotte Observer reporter Shane Connuck just shared that Lamar Jackson wearing a #12 t-shirt in support of Ryan Blaney. Jackson re-shared the story that had the caption, “Baltimore Ravens QB and two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson is here (repping @ryanblaney10!).” What’s funny about the photo is the kid at the back who’s looking at Jackson like, “Jit said Lamar who?”

But that’s not all, Jackson found his way into the pits and the garage and possibly had quite a blast. The story shows a video of him watching the race from the garage as all the computers displayed complicated numbers to him. He also met other drivers and it looks like he went to the Charlotte Speedway with his family.

NASCAR on FOX also uploaded a reel on Facebook that shows Jackson meeting up with a couple of race drivers and it looked like his family members were there to support him. NASCAR welcomed the QB with the caption, “Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson! #NASCAR #NFL” Jackson has a VIP pass and can go around meeting as many people as he pleases.

Blaney won the Coca-Cola 600 last year, then proceeded to win the YellaWood 500 and Xfinity 500. Now, he’s back competing in the Coca-Cola 600 after a year. Maybe the defending champion will get an extra boost with Jackson on his side. The Charlotte Motor Speedway also didn’t leave an opportunity to capitalize on Jackson’s presence.

While Blaney and Team Penske need to defend themselves, they wait for Kyle Larson to arrive at the track and make his way to the pit. Ryan Blaney has the major support of people and it couldn’t get better with Lamar Jackson watching from the pits.

While Lamar Jackson is taking some time off from his tough football regimen, events like Preakness, NASCAR and a few others keep him occupied and his mind relaxed. After all, the Ravens quarterback has to return to gridiron field soon and his first opponent will be the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.
