After the Ravens lost their week 13 matchup against Eagles, Lamar Jackson‘s mom cussed him out. Obviously, he was mad. However, the fans got a firsthand view of the thing that was going on in his mind during the week 17 matchup against the Texans. On 1st & 10 play at 13:31 in the 3rd quarter, the signal caller got the ball. Instead of passing the ball, he saw an opening and ran towards his right. Pressing ahead, he scored a 48-yard rushing touchdown. But during the game, he broke another historical record held by Michael Vick with the most rushing yards in the NFL.
With a 6-yard scramble play at the 5:50 mark in the 3rd quarter, he passed the ball over the Texans’ defense to TE Mark Andrews who was standing in the end zone already and grabbed it, completing the touchdown. With this, Lamar Jackson recorded 6,110 rushing yards, while Vick had 6,109 rushing yards. After the game, he paid tribute to Vick’s legacy and said, “It feels unreal, to be honest with you. I’m grateful because that’s a record that’s been there for a long time. Michael Vick is one of my favorite players. That’s just d—.” That’s right.
