Lamar Jackson is a name that echoes greatness. The Bert Bell Awardee is arguably one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of modern times and is just one ring shy from proving his worth as the two-time league MVP. His playing style is electrifying and the moment the pigskin is thrown into the QB’s hands, the stadium erupts into loud cheers. And ironically, Jackson’s favorite cheer is that of a three-year-old kid: his daughter, Milan Jackson.
The QB welcomed his daughter on 4th January 2021 and as of 2024; she is 3-year-old. Her name, Milan, means gracious or dear in Slavic, and in Sanskrit, this word means ‘union’. Action Jackson likes to call her ‘Lani’ and he first posted about her on Halloween in 2023, leaving many fans shocked. Unlike other celebrities, No. 8 didn’t make a public announcement keeping it a very secretive affair. Lamar has been exceptionally quiet about his daughter and his personal life.
The only time Lamar posted about his daughter other than on Halloween was on her birthday, and that left the internet in awe. In fact, that was a good 9 months after the child was born. Since then, he has not posted much about her. When a reporter asked the Raven about what his daughter was dressed as, he had this to say, “Pebbles from The Flint Stones. You liked it? She look good?”

In the picture of Halloween, Milan looks adorable in the orange dress. It’s safe to say that Lamar wants to keep his daughter away from social media and its influence to keep her privacy intact. The Unstoppable 8 hasn’t publicly disclosed who is the mother of the baby, but it is likely to be Jackson’s long-time girlfriend, Jamie Taylor. Jackson is determined to give his daughter the love he missed out on in his childhood.
Growing up in Florida, running on the Pompano Beach, the only one next to Jackson was his mother, Felicia Jackson. When Lamar was eight, his father died of a heart attack. The same year his grandmother also passed away. These unforeseen circumstances forced the QB’s mom to raise all her 4 kids by herself.
Perhaps it is Felicia’s grit and tenacity that we see in the reigning MVP. The Baltimore Ravens star takes after his mother in more than one way, hoping to do for his daughter what his mother did for him. Jackson called his mother his ‘superhero’ and he aspires to be the same for his young daughter. Felicia has motivated him to be a great father to his daughter. “If she can do that, I can do anything,” Jackson has said in an interview. Interestingly, a rumor started doing rounds a year after Johnson revealed Milan’s birth.
Johnson had posted on his Instagram Story with a different baby girl. And fans thought that he was announcing the birth of another child! However, Jackson was quick to stop the discussion with a rather hilarious post. “Everybody Fall back that’s my God Daughter But thank you lol,” he had written on his X.
While talking about his daughter, the glow on his face was brighter than the glow he had when he won the MVP. This truly reflects his love for the youngest member of the Jackson family. It’s safe to say that Milan is the MVP of Jackson’s life. But there is a close second, his girlfriend, Jamie Taylor.

They began dating in 2017 when Jackson was in his final year of college.
The two attended the University of Louisville, where Lamar played for three seasons and won the Ring of Honor. Post this, Jersey No. 8 commenced his NFL journey while Jamie stayed back to complete her degree. In a rare interview with the Baltimore Ravens, Taylor had this to say about Lamar, “He’s taught me how to handle criticism. I mean, I used to get mad when I’d read stuff. Then I’d look at him, and he’s just fine. He says, ‘Let them do the talking. You don’t have to say anything. Just show them.”
As of 2024, the couple has been dating for 7 years and is happier than ever with their adorable daughter. As Jackson is striving on the field, Jamie holds down the fort for the family. After running all the yards on the field, the only thing the QB keeps running back to is his family.
