Lamar Jackson‘s sense of humor is always on point! As the entire NFL community is debating whether he is “mediocre” or not, the Baltimore Ravens QB is sharing funny memes! As the country celebrates the 4th of July, Jackson is seemingly not a big fan of an essential Independence Day tradition. Not just Lamar, even the former NFL star Jason Kelce has the same view!
So what is the tradition? Fireworks! On the latest ‘Catching Kelce’ Episode, Jason and Travis Kelce revealed that fireworks were banned in their household growing up. According to the Kansas City Chiefs’ TE, their father Ed Kelce had the horrible experience of a relative blowing their hand off in a fireworks-related accident. Though Travis has warmed up to fireworks, Jason is still not a fan of the tradition.

“I’m terrified of them (fireworks),” said the retired Eagles star. Though the 36-year-old loves to watch the fireworks display with his kids from afar, Kelce doesn’t go “anywhere near them motherf*ckers!” In his latest Instagram story, the Ravens QB, Lamar Jackson, shared something similar with a “friendly reminder”! He posted a meme that said, “No one is going to watch the video of fireworks you recorded on your phone.”
However, Jackson’s caption, “Happy 4th though” (with a smiley emoji) pretty much gave away the fact that he was only kidding! But that wasn’t the end of the 27-year-old’s online activity on Independence Day. Lamar Jackson also roasted his teammate with a savage joke!

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely took to X to tease Lamar Jackson on July 4. He called Jackson “Unc” and asked, “wat the move on the grill today?” Though it was pretty clearly an innocent joke, Jackson decided to bring the grill online and roast Likely with a brutal comeback!

You literally had a 40 year old beard as a rookie. Now that I think about it we might have to check that birth certificate . #Oldyoungin🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/yJPNNK1osW

The two-time NFL MVP made fun of Isaiah Likely’s facial hair and replied, “You literally had a 40 year old beard as a rookie.” Not just that, Jackson also added that the 24-year-old TE should show everyone his birth certificate just to prove his age! In a follow-up post, Likely joked that the Ravens’ No. 8 should take “vitamins” and “fire up the grill” instead of “stravin.”
All joking aside, Lamar Jackson hasn’t had the best start to this offseason. In June, the three-time Pro Bowler had to let go of a $750,000 bonus for bunking 80% of the team’s preseason workouts. Now, he is dealing with former NFL player Mark Schlereth’s “mediocre” claims for not being able to take his team into a Super Bowl. Though he may not like fireworks, Lamar Jackson would certainly love to light the gridiron on fire come September!
