Tyreek HillPatrick Mahomes! A catastrophic QB-WR duo that penetrated every single defense. They were absolutely great, and the most heartbreaking aspect of their breakup was just some money issue. The Chiefs were unable to match the WR’s expectations, which led to him being traded to the Miami Dolphins. Ouch. Obviously, everyone misses the pair on the field, but was it a good decision on Hill’s side to leave a talented QB for money? Actually, that’s what Antonio Brown pointed out recently. But the twist here is Tyreek is still on a completely different page.

Brown expressed his thoughts on Tyreek Hill on the podcast This Past Weekend with Theo Von. He explained how a WR always needs a good quarterback to help them reach new heights in their career. And how abandoning a good one for money can eventually lead to a career downfall. Uh-oh! He continued to explain that if Tyreek Hill might have stayed with the Chiefs, possibilities were that he would have made some great records with Patrick Mahomes.

This will not only increase his salary eventually in the future, but it will also leave a legacy that no one else can equal. While some fans would think that Brown is talking sense here, Hill has a different opinion.

For starters, along with denying what Brown explained, the WR showed excellent sportsmanship. He made his comment with a lot of respect and claimed about how this is not advice he can look forward to: “I think I’ll not take his advice, he’s still the goat thoughh” Wow! Hill surely has a mind which is difficult to change. But if you look at it honestly, Antonio Brown is correct. Do you recall Deion Branch? Yes, the same WR who demanded a massive pay hike after earning Super Bowl MVP. What happened to him?

Branch was with the Patriots and had a fantastic quarterback, the legendary Tom Brady, but he chose to move to Seattle. The Seahawks signed him to a 6-year, $39 million contract, and while it sounds wonderful, that contract became a nightmare for him. Following this trade, he failed to meet the expectations and subsequently lost the card. Deion Branch is just one of many examples of WRs who lost their touch like this. Javon Walker, Eric Decker, Andre Rison, and Muhsin Muhammad are just a few examples of people who have had similar experiences.

Hopes are that Tyreek Hill does not follow these footsteps. Teases for these footsteps have already been there as the WR was seen frustrated after his previous season. So much so that he even hinted at his departure from the team.

Have an interesting take?

Tyreek Hill’s future teases have been an enormous roller coaster

The Dolphins had an off season last year, finishing 8-9. Hill posted impressive numbers despite the fact that his team did not make the playoffs. So, he’s definitely frustrated by it all! The WR concluded the season with 959 running yards and six touchdowns. He was so furious that despite giving his all, he was unable to help the club qualify that he wrote on X “I’m Out” after the final regular season game. This led to speculations that Tyreek will not play in the 2025 season. But there’s another twist in the story.

While Tyreek Hill’s trade was gaining attention, the WR dropped one more X post. And this time he claimed that his next season can be the next great thing for the Dolphins: “This will be my best year yet dolfans.” Now, after this post, the Dolphins fans went to the moon. But the Cheetah had more to say. The WR has since then repeated these potential teasers and strange texts. He even returned to X to mock the roster changes that are taking place in the NFL: “Everyone trying to get out”
