The Los Angeles wildfires have reportedly impacted hundreds of thousands of people. Being one of the largest fires in history, it continues to create havoc across the country. At least 10 people lost their lives and over 180K people had to leave their homes as per the evacuation procedure. The LA native, and the Kansas City Chiefs‘ head coach, Andy Reid, sent prayers for the affected people as he gave updates on his friends and family.
The Chiefs are in their bye week considering the team has clinched the number 1 seed in the AFC. Ahead of their divisional round game, the head coach addressed the media during the press conference. “Our hearts go out to all those people. Prayers are with them. Hopefully, they get these things contained. . . We pray for everybody’s safety, No. 1,” Reid said when inquired about the wildfires.

On the flip side, when a reporter asked if there’s any effect of these fires on friends and family where the wildfires are happening, the head coach confirmed that a couple of his friends are affected by the fires. “Yeah, I’ve had a couple of friends that had some problems out there,” Andy Reid responded.
Earlier this week, three major fires broke out in LA County and it’s reported that the Palisades fires have damaged over 20,000 acres and obliterated an estimated 5,000 structures. “I am going to spend every moment that I can,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated when asked what she’s doing to ensure these fires won’t happen again, “Making sure that I am in as many areas as possible, meeting and talking to residents to see what is needed in the recovery.”

As several people were stuck during the fire, Brittany posted the contact numbers of the people who were trapped there. And that’s not all. The QB’s wife was mindful enough to share the details of the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. As a result, and getting inspired by her offerings, many people sent donations to people in tough spots. Even SoFi Stadium, based in Los Angeles, joined in, donating $200,000 to assist those in need.
Brittany’s stepping up during the crisis surely inspired many to offer reliefs for the affected people during the wildfires. It’s pretty clear that Brittany’s actions weren’t just appreciated, they earned her some serious respect from the Chiefdom.
