Jordan Love and his Packers can breathe a huge sigh of relief because their chance of winning the Sunday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers just shot up. You might already know about Nick Bosa’s oblique injury in the loss against the Seattle Seahawks. The setback came with a long-term implication.
Kyle Shanahan just dropped another bomb on Bay Area football fans suggesting that incorporating Bosa in the next game might be a problem. Nick Wagoner, the 49ers reporter for ESPN has more information about what’s about to happen in the game against the Packers.
Wagoner took to X and reported the Niners head coach admitting, “There’s just a good of a chance for him to not play as play.” The DB’s condition will be monitored on a weekly basis and he’s unlikely to practice this week. It looks like the DE aggravated a pre-existing injury and left the game right after he recorded his second sack.

#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan on DE Nick Bosa’s (hips/oblieus) chances to play against Green Bay this week:
“There’s just a good of a chance for him to not play as play.”
Bosa will be monitored as week goes along, though probably unlikely to practice much again this week.

The former DPOY got off to rush the passer but immediately felt something was wrong and started limping. He walked gingerly to the sideline and was ruled questionable to come back due to a hip injury. However, the medical staff diagnosed him with a new oblique injury. Apparently, Bosa played through a hip injury in the week 10 win against Tampa Bay and the Seahawks duel might have made it worse.
Coach Shanahan confirmed that it was a “different one” and not the hip injury that Bosa was nursing prior to the game. However, this hasn’t deterred Bosa. “We have a lot of games left. All we gotta do is get in the dance. I definitely still have confidence,” the 27-year-old said after the 20-17 loss to the Seahawks.
What’s your perspective on:
With Bosa's injury, are the Packers finally poised to break their losing streak against the 49ers?

You’ve got to give it up to the football players for their tolerance. Bosa was well aware of the risks of playing through the injury but still chose to power through it.
Nick Bosa was compensating!

It just reminds us of how Christian McCaffrey was mysteriously ruled out of the season opener against the New York Jets and how his injury wasn’t disclosed way before the game like it was supposed to be. We get it. Football players have an obligation to their teams, to the fans, and to their teammates. But in fulfilling their obligations, they exacerbate their condition. The same happened with Nick Bosa.
“Not great,” Bosa said of his physical condition following Sunday’s loss. “That’s why I had to stop playing. … I guess I was compensating [for the other injury]. … I hate missing time. That’s why I pushed through it last week. Hopefully, it’s not too long [until I’m back]. … But I don’t know. We’ve gotta see.”

In 10 games, the 49ers’ defensive cornerstone has recorded 27 solo tackles, 7 sacks, an INT, and a forced fumble. ESPN suggests that there’s a 50-50 chance of Bosa playing at the Lambeau. The 5-5 Niners already have some major injuries on the offensive side with Brandon Aiyuk suffering a season-ending injury, Kittle being questionable due to a hamstring injury, and Brock Purdy and Trent Williams are also dealing with sore shoulder and sore ankle.
The Bay Area team was relying on Bosa, and if they struggled against the Seahawks, they would not have it easy against the Packers.
