It was almost as if the Chargers were going through a nightmare. The Houston Texans and Chargers went head-to-head against each other during the NFL wild card round. But no one could have imagined how the final score would unfold. Ending with a 32-12 scoreline, this game became the first ever NFL showdown to finish with that unique score, marking it as an NFL Scorigami. Fans had high hopes with the $76 million weapon, Derwin James, but that didn’t work out so well for the Chargers. In a game defined by unusual plays, the Texans capitalized on big defensive stops, and marched toward their Super Bowl dream.
In a recent interview posted on X by MLFootball, Chargers’ LB Khalil Mack backed up his mate Justin Herbert, especially when he was facing criticism. He said, “People are quick to judge him, but they don’t understand what he’s dealing with. The way he handles adversity, the way he stays calm under pressure, that’s what makes him a true leader.” He also added, “who gives f*** about what anyone has to say.” This clearly showcases that even if they lost, they took it like a champ.
WOW: #Chargers LB Khalil Mack WENT OFF ON JUSTIN HERBERT HATERS.
“Who gives a f*ck about what anyone has to say” – about Herbert.
Mack told Herbert on the plane last night, “You are going to be an all-time great.”

Khalil Mack also shared his thoughts on the team’s defense after the tough playoff loss. “We gotta be better defensively,” he said and further acknowledged the importance of everyone stepping up, but recognized that it just wasn’t enough. “You have to use moments like that, to learn from it,” Mack said. The Chargers defense recorded 2 sacks and forced 3 turnovers, but the Texans capitalized on every mistake, ensuring they couldn’t stop the momentum.
If we look at the stats, Justin’s performance was a key factor in the team’s loss. Completing only 14 of 32 passes for 242 yards and a single TD, he struggled with his accuracy. His QB rating was a disappointing 13.0, making it one of the worst playoff performances in recent NFL memory. He also accepted his mistakes, saying, “I let the team down” in a post game conference. The offense, despite its efforts, couldn’t stand strong in front of the Texans, leaving the team with the 32-12 blowout.

While the team is still reeling from the shock, it seems Mack is planning to wrap up his gridiron journey.
Is Khalil Mack ready to hang up his cleats?
Khalil Mack’s stance on retirement is still up in the air. A few months ago on the Up and Adams Show, Mack expressed that his primary focus was on helping the team to grasp the Super Bowl. That will be the ultimate milestone that could lead to his retirement.

“My ultimate goal right now is the ultimate team goal. It’s to get a Super Bowl win” Mack shared with Kay Adams. “That’ll be one of the things that pack me up and hang my cleats up in the rafters. I’ll say peace out.“
However, he is not rushing into that decision yet. The 33-year-old LB, a former Defensive player of the Year and 4 time All-pro, shared with the reporters that he’s taking his time to reflect and avoid making an emotional choice. He mentioned the importance of discussing the future with the family. Mack admitted he wanted to avoid repeating the mistakes of previous years when he made hasty decisions, looking for a well-measured approach to his potential retirement.
