The clouds have been looming over Rashee Rice since Saturday, March 30. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver has been allegedly implicated in the dangerous car crash incident, and DashCam footage showing a lookalike of Rice is being circulated online.

Although the police haven’t confirmed Rice’s involvement, they are seeking to contact him for their investigation process. This is also because one of the cars involved in the accident was registered under his name. Many analysts and popular sports figures, like Shannon Sharpe, have shared their disappointment in the incident. And now this time, other NFL veterans have come forward to either advise him or show frustration over his “stupid” act.

In a recent episode of All Facts, No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson, the host was joined by NFL veteran punter Thomas Morstead to talk about the latest in the league, especially the Dallas case. When asked about his thoughts on Rashee Rice and the incident, a frustrated Johnson started off saying, “Stupid is the stupid does.” Chiming into it, Morstead offered advice to Rice, highlighting the higher standard of professionalism. He acknowledged that young players, like Rice, may still be learning and facing tough lessons.

Morstead emphasized that, while he didn’t know the specifics of Rice’s situation, he believed in giving young players grace while also recognizing that there are consequences for their actions. He mentioned that the first offseason after a player’s rookie year can be challenging as it’s the first time they have free time without obligations like training or games.

The NFL veteran concluded by saying, “All we can do is educate guys, and and um I’m wishing the best for him and hope whoever was involved in that is healthy and safe um and and hopefully he can learn from it and uh doesn’t lose his opportunity to be playing in the NFL.”

Although Morstead politely advised Rice and other young professionals, Keyshawn Johnson wasn’t so polite on Rice, as he showed his anger on him. He said, “I’m so pissed at him because I know him, I trained him, I worked with him all the way up until the end of the draft. I gave him every pointer, every single pointer, the dos and the don’ts. I gave it all to him and then when I look up and I see it, it just pisses me off.

Was Rashee Rice’s car on lease?

According to the allegations, the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Rashee Rice, was driving a leased Lamborghini SUV that was involved in a speeding accident on a Dallas highway. The crash involved two sports cars, including the Lamborghini and a Corvette, causing a chain reaction involving six vehicles. While the Dallas police have not confirmed Rice’s involvement, an attorney for the company that owns the Lamborghini stated that Rice was leasing the vehicle. As per the reports, he was leasing a Lamborghini from a company called The Classic Lifestyle.

According to Kyle Coker, an attorney for the exotic car rental company based in Dallas, Rice would have been the only person allowed to drive the vehicle under the contract terms. Lamborghini, who is valued at around $250,000, rents for approximately $1,750 per day. Police reports indicate that the drivers of both Lamborghini and Corvette were speeding in the far-left lane of the North Central Expressway when they lost control of their vehicles. Authorities also mentioned that the occupants of both speeding vehicles left the scene without checking if anyone needed medical attention or providing their information.
