The Steelers are gearing up for another intense game after defeating the Bengals earlier this week. With nine wins so far, they’re looking to hit double digits if they can pull off another victory. This time, they’re facing the Browns. And let’s not forget, before their win against the Bengals, they were thrashed by the Browns (24-19) in Week 12. The Browns have got nothing to lose, that’s the sad part. But the bright side? They get to play with zero pressure. You probably remember Steelers WR George Pickens’ antics from the last game. Well, it seems like he’s now getting under Kevin Stefanski’s skin.
The Steelers and Browns are divisional rivals (AFC North), but Tomlin’s guys are on top, while Stefanski’s are at the bottom. If the Browns manage to beat Russell Wilson-led Steelers again, it will be a huge embarrassment for the team. It looks like George Pickens is in no mood to let that happen.
We all know how he can lose control of his emotions. And, this time, when asked about Browns CB Greg Newsome, the 23-year-old had a pretty rude response. Now, Browns coach Kevin Stefanski has stepped in to clear his stance on Pickens’ comment. “I have no reaction to the comment. Our guys understand what’s in front of them. It’s a great opportunity,” said the Browns HC.

A reporter asked George Pickens if he would be talking to Browns CB Newsome before the game, to which he replied, “I don’t even know who that is.” Uh-oh, that’s pretty rude. It looks like the Steelers WR is always riding high.
Well, what would QB Russell Wilson say about this after showing his support for him over last week’s antics? It’s only been 3-4 days since coach Mike Tomlin gave him a word of advice for his unusual on-field shenanigans. Looks like he might need another scolding from the coach.
But before he gets another scolding from Mike Tomlin, Browns CB Greg Newsome has a message for the Steelers WR.

Greg Newsome’s message to George Pickens
The divisional foes haven’t even stepped on the field yet, and things are already getting out of hand. After Coach Kevin Stefanski’s reply, Greg Newsome himself has come forward to address George Pickens’ comment about him. Saying he’s all about his team, the Browns CB accused Pickens of only playing for himself and not for the team. Whoa! This drama’s getting good. “He’s a guy who cares more so about himself. You can see that in the penalties that he causes,” replied Greg.
Well, we’ve got to agree with the Browns’ CB here. In the recent Bengals game, Pickens was flagged for taunting twice. First, he disrespectfully dropped the b-ll on a rival player after making a catch, and then he made a g-n gesture after catching a pass from Russell Wilson. It’s great that the WR’s playing good football, but disrespecting the rivals like that surely outshines his performance. Not a good thing to be proud of, eh?

A good player always keeps his cool. At the end of the day, your on-field actions shape how fans see you, and that can mess with your reputation. Hopefully, the 23-year-old will learn that soon. For now, just stay tuned to the NFL Season 2024 to witness this intense game on your screens in the next 48 hours.
