The Niners are loud! After 29 years of Super Bowl drought, Brock Purdy and the 49ers gang have another shot at claiming the league title. As good as Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are, the Niners fans are understandably not on their side at all and it was evident from the way they responded on the opening night. However, the loud opposition has just got Kelce more determined than ever to win the game.
The tight end let his intentions known in the Super Bowl opening night as he took the criticisms in a competitive spirit. Fox Sports uploaded a snippet of what went down on the opening night. Safe to say that Kelce is not afraid of the Niners fans cheering against him and is willing to give the Niners a run for their money.

There was a moment at the opening night when TEs from both Chiefs and 49ers shared their reverence for each other in public. However, the next video that followed showcased that fans clearly have their priorities sorted. FOX Sports posted the video on X and wrote, “Travis Kelce swimming in the boos from 49ers fans at #SBOpeningNight 🏊♂️😂” and shows Travis Kelce and George Kittle addressing a venue full of thousands of fans.

As Kelce was addressing the huge crowd, he got a wave of boos out of nowhere. This surprised him for a moment, but he dragged himself back to reality and gave the most competitive response ever. “Y’all are firing me up man,” said Kelce with a big smile on his face as he addressed the aggravated Niners fans.
He then added, “Make me wanna play right now baby, wooo!! I love the boos going on, I love the cheers baby, keep it coming Niners gang, keep ‘em coming” The boos went louder as Kelce proceeded to speak. Safe to say that the Chiefs TE is excited for the upcoming game and there might be more than one reason behind it.

Why is Kelce so determined to win the Super Bowl?
Apparently, Kelce made a promise to Taylor Swift and he is doing his best to keep his end of the bargain. At the opening night, he mentioned, “She (Taylor Swift) is unbelievable, she’s rewriting the history books herself. I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware (Lombardi) too”

That’s not all, his zeal to win the Super Bowl is supported by another reason. He mentioned that the 2020 season SB loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rubbed him the wrong way and Kelce is willing to set it right. “That’s (loss to Bucs) motivated me to get back to this point right here.” Travis Kelce said, “I want this one more than I’ve ever wanted a Super Bowl in my life.”

This is the kind of determination and hard work that the fans will hope the Chiefs and their TE will keep capitalizing on. Hopefully, Travis Kelce can keep the optimism alive and bring home another “hardware” as a souvenir. Who do you think will ultimately win the Super Bowl LVIII?
