There’s an important update on the Super Bowl Parade tragedy. The shooting had taken the life of one person and left 21 severely injured. However, police were diligently looking at what had caused it. Now, we have than update on what the real motive was behind the shooting. Was it a planned act of terror or was it something else?
The KC Police were quick to stop the violence and prevent more loss of lives. And now they have come out with what caused the shooting.

According to Tom Pelissero, there is no terrorism connection. Neither foreign nor homegrown. Per KC Police Chief Stacey Graves, “This appeared to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire.”

According to NBC News, three individuals are in critical condition, five are in serious condition, and one has sustained non-life-threatening injuries. In response to the tragic events, the Kansas City Police Department has confirmed the apprehension of two suspects. They were located and taken into custody on the west side of Union Station, where the shooting occurred.
However, this is not the first time such an incident has happened.

Over the past decade, several instances of violence have marred the celebratory atmosphere of championship parades and rallies. In June 2016, during the parade and rally honoring the Cleveland Cavaliers’ NBA championship victory, a person was shot twice in the leg, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
Three years later, in June 2019, as fans gathered for a downtown Toronto rally celebrating the NBA champion Raptors, four individuals were shot and wounded, with additional minor injuries reported as attendees tried to flee the scene. In October 2020, the night the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the World Series, two individuals were tragically shot to death in Sylmar, California. The victims, Juan Carlos Guillen and Marco Antonio Vazquez, were attempting to intervene as others vandalized vehicles with baseball bats.

July 2021 witnessed two separate shootings in downtown Milwaukee following the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA championship victory, resulting in three people sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The incidents occurred near the Bucks’ home arena, Fiserv Forum, across the Milwaukee River. Following the Denver Nuggets’ championship parade in June 2022, a shooting occurred in downtown Denver, injuring two individuals. However, authorities stated that the incident was not believed to be connected to the celebration. When will this trend of senseless violence finally end?
