In the aftermath of the harrowing Kansas City shooting at the Super Bowl victory parade, the Chiefs have expressed their support for the victims in interviews and through social media posts. The tragedy resulted in the loss of one life while injuring at least 22 others, 11 of whom were children. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany visited two young victims in the hospital.

Patrick and Brittany paid a visit to the Reyes family, who have their two daughters admitted to the Children’s Mercy Hospital. The girls, aged eight and ten, were shot in the leg during gunfire. The Reyes are related to Elizabeth “Lisa” Lopez-Galvan, the radio DJ who lost her life at the parade. Reyes family has started a GoFundMe to support their daughters’ medical expenses and help in their speedy recovery.
