Jackson Mahomes is the “new found” hero for people in Kansas City. Escalating tensions amid shooting and injury news had besieged the city. And like many heroes, Jackson is receiving respect from the Kansas City Chiefs fans for his caring helping hand.
The Chiefs took out a celebratory parade and rally in the city on Wednesday, February 14, starting from 6th Street in the River Market at 11 a.m. and concluding at Pershing Road in front of Union Station. The joyous celebration, however, took an unwanted turn when there were gunshot firings at the rally. Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, shared an incident of her son, Jackson, for his good deeds.

An estimated one million people joined the parade. However, despite the tight security, as the Mayor Quinton Lucas assured, the gunshot noise at the west side of Union Station near the parking garage sparked fear among people. Thousands of revelers were seen running across the street to save their lives. One Chiefs fan was also stuck with her friend. They discovered Jackson Mahomes comforting a small child.
After saving her life, the fan penned the incident on X, sharing what happened while respecting Mahomes’ heroic act. The fan, who names herself “@jess6mami” on X, wrote, “I don’t care what anyone says but I have found a new found respect for Jackson Mahomes, Ana and I were stuck hiding with him at union station by the trains and he was taking care of a child who lost his parents and helping him calm down.“
Retweeting the post, Randi Mahomes, too, dropped a red heart on it and wrote a separate post on the incident and her son. The mom of three wrote, “What a scary unthinkable day.. thankful you all were together for those moments. As i mom i want to thank you. Jackson was able to get the child to the police for help. Blessings to you.“
