Four players are ruled out by the Chiefs for the Christmas Day game. Their offensive lineup has taken a hit as Mecole Hardman will not play. After returning from a thumb injury, he had limited participation during practice. WR Kadarius Toney is also ruled out as he did not participate during the week. There is a full injury report that includes RB Jerick McKinnon (DNP for the whole week) and OT Donavan Smith. Smith, who is still recovering from a neck injury and did not participate on Friday and Saturday, is also going to miss his third game in a row.
On the other hand, the Raiders have ruled out one player and have six players whose status is yet to be confirmed. TE Michael Mayer did not participate in practice this week after suffering a toe injury. The list of questionable players is long and includes DE Maxx Crosby (knee) with limited participation on Saturday. Additionally, RB Josh Jacobs’ recovery from a quad injury has taken a hit as he did not participate on Thursday and Saturday. So, he will not be playing in the game as his status is ruled out.
Other players who won’t be playing include CB Brandon Facyson, OT Kolton Miller, WR DJ Turner, TE Jesper Horstead, and CB Jack Jones. With these many players’ status in question, how will the Raiders look to break the losing streak against the Chiefs?

The Raiders can’t afford to lose anymore!
After the thumping victory against the Chargers last week, the Raiders still have only a 2% chance to make the playoffs. This means that they must win their remaining three games, starting with the Chiefs, but their previous records against the Red Army are not that great.
Six straight losses against the Chiefs, including the previous defeat this season. The Chiefs also led the charge at 73-54-2 all-time. What’s more, in the last ten years, the Las Vegas Raiders have managed to win just three out of 21 games against their fellow rivals. The Raiders need to keep these records in mind when they put their feet on the gridiron.
