As the Broncos defeated the Chiefs, they ended the third-longest streak to any opponent in NFL history. Furthermore, the matchup marked Mahomes’ failure in throwing a touchdown pass, ending the longest active streak at 29 straight games. These two players proved their worth in the last matchup, indicating how they were much-needed changes for the team. Furthermore, the Broncos’ defense was having a really bad game this season, and everyone demanded changes in their defense, by firing defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. However, Sean Payton showed his patience and as a result, the Broncos defensive end was seen doing much better in the last three games. Due to this, the Chiefs had a tough time scoring, even when they were very close to the end zone.
