As important updates are coming up on the floor, people are excited to know about the most important players for today’s game. One of them is the Texans kicker, Ka’imi Fairbairn.

After being picked by the Houston Texans in 2016, the 30-year-old has played all the seasons with the franchise. This season Fairbairn has signed an extension of the contract. The Texans #15 has inked a staggering $15,900,000 contract extension for a three-year tenure. And will earn an average salary of $5,300,000 from 2024 to 2026.

Kaʻimi Fairbairn is considered one of the most accurate placekickers in the NFL. On his success of one of the highest FG percentages and overall success, he said, “Day in and day out, putting the work in. Focus is a big thing, not letting mental distractions creep in, and taking every rep seriously, whether in practice myself or obviously in the game. Taking everything, the same approach every day.”

If you look into the placekicker’s stats, he has completed 29 of the 31 FGs in the 2022 season and 27 out of 28 in the last season. Insane stats! Currently, the PK has been able to have 28 of 34 games after playing 12. In his entire career, the 30-year-old has completed 203 out of 235 field goals, which counts to an average 86.4 FG completion percentage.

Recollecting his past, after playing 8 seasons, he iterated, “Just changed a little bit. It’s been a good process for me to go through and continue to learn. I don’t think I’ve lost anything. Just continuing to stay strong in the weight room by my mobility and my flexibility and my core strength is the big focus.”

Ka’imi Fairbairn was born in Kailua, Hawaii on January 29, 1994, and he quickly earned a reputation as a football phenom, racking up numerous accolades and awards.  was the ‘First-team All-American‘ in college day when he used to play for UCLA. After winning the Lou Groza Award in 2015 as the top national college kicker, he became a national sensation.

In college, as a true freshman, Fairbairn scored the most points in his career, earning him the top-scoring title in the Pac-12 Conference. However, he was not picked in the 2016 draft thus becoming an undrafted free agent.

Later Fairbairn signed with the team as a free agent in 2016, but a season-ending injury soon followed, so he kicked off his NFL career in 2017. And his magnificent plays earned him a three-year contract with the franchise On March 6, 2024.
