Kadarius Toney hasn’t played a single game because of his hip injury since the game against the New England Patriots in mid-December. Following this, the Kansas City Chiefs did not activate him to play the conference title game against the Baltimore Ravens, but finally, there is some good news that Toney can cherish.
The WR’s de-activation happened after the game against the Buffalo Bills, and seemingly there’s a lot of controversy behind the move. James Palmer’s recent post on X confirms that Kadarius Toney will not be playing in the game against the Ravens. Till now, his status has been “(personal/hip).” Though we understood the hip part, the personal aspect of his absence just came out.

Welcome to the world, Baby Toney!
The Chiefs WR just became a father. It’s a girl, and it’s Toney’s first child, so celebrations are in order. Palmer’s post on X was captioned, “Kadarius Toney had his first child tonight. A baby girl. That’s where the personal part of his designation came from. He’s also dealing with a hip injury that is keeping him out tomorrow.”

Also, it’s Toney’s birthday today; it looks like he got the best gift and something extraordinary to celebrate and cherish on all his birthdays. Though things might be going smoothly with his personal life, his professional life with the Kansas City Chiefs might be in a little bit of a crunch. This will be the 6 straight game that he is missing this season.
According to reports, his future with the Kansas City Chiefs also seems questionable at this point. His wideout’s hip injury limited him to practice for the past couple of days. Not only this, but the Chiefs have also piled up on a huge IR, and the game might not go their way. Time will tell whether the Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce duo will be able to make history together one more time or not.

The banged-up KC Chiefs
There is a stark difference between the Chiefs and Ravens injury reports. A total of 17 players are on the injury list. Four of these players have a “questionable” status ahead of the game. Three other players are listed as “out” ahead of the AFC title game. Speaking of Kadarius Toney, he fully participated in practice on Wednesday but remained a limited participant on Thursday and Friday.

Additionally, running back Isaiah Pacheco is also questionable to play due to an ankle/toe injury and missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The safety, Mike Edwards, is also not likely to play because he is under concussion protocols. Other less consequential injuries come from NT Derrick Nnadi, Sky Moore, and Prince Tega Wanogho, who will all be out for the next game. The Ravens only have a total of 5 players on their injured list. Can the Chiefs still win the AFC title game?
