Is Justin Fields’ job in jeopardy? Many people in the league are talking about it, especially the NFL pundits. The Chicago Bears have a No. 1 draft pick in the upcoming NFL drafts and will take full advantage of the opportunity. Sources say that if the Bears opt for a new QB, Fields might get traded.

Ian Rapoport just gave his opinion on the Justin Fields situation and thinks his getting traded was becoming a real possibility with each passing day. The QB recently unfollowed the Bears, and everyone thought Fields and the team were at a crossroads. The QB didn’t engage with these narratives, but the two might finally restate their alliance.

The NFL recently uploaded a story on Instagram where the reporter is trying to make a case for the Bears to draft Caleb Williams and trade Justin Fields. Rapoport said there were a “lot of Justin Fields,” but the Bears would pass on a rare opportunity if they give up on Caleb Williams in the NFL Scouting Combine. Rapoport thinks the Bears will first draft Caleb Williams and then trade Justin Fields.

Rapoport also reported how the Bears are headed to Indianapolis again and have a No. 1 draft pick. He noted how the Bears are well off in the direction of drafting Caleb Williams, and for them to give up on this opportunity, “it would need to be a historic draft haul.” He also reported how most of the teams in the league don’t want that to happen or believe they can offer something else as a replacement for this opportunity.

For now, we can just sit and watch what happens. But there are a few places that need a QB.

However, despite all of this, the Bears mentioned that they “want to do right” by Justin Fields. They understand the hit that Fields will take on his career and want to set him up for a better opportunity.

The Bears’ general manager Ryan Poles said about Fields, “No one wants to live in gray. I know that’s uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want to be in that situation either. So, we’ll gather the information, and we’ll move as quickly as possible. We’re not going to be in a rush and see what presents itself and what’s best for the organization.”
