Raheem Mostert took a dig at the NFL owners for the Turf at MetLife Stadium. The Miami Dolphins running back highlighted the injuries linked to playing on the turf at Metlife. The NFL landscape witnessed Aaron Rodgers’ injury on the same turf in the very first game of the season for the New York Jets, where A-Rod suffered a season-ending injury.

Now, on the same turf, the Miami Dolphins linebacker Jaylen Philips has suffered the same fate. Young LB, in a staggering form, suffered an injury against the Jets and is now under further medical inspection. Feeling concerned for his teammate, Mostert criticized the turf at Metlife for the potential threat of constant injuries.

The Miami Dolphins’ official YouTube channel uploaded a video of a press conference featuring Raheem Mostert. When asked about the injuries of Rodgers and Philips at the Turf, Mostert suggested replacing the turf with grass, which can potentially decrease the chances of injury.

Sharing his thoughts on the injury, Mostert said, “It’s tough. especially playing on this turf. You know, no player wants to go down on a significant injury. I mean you saw what happened to Rodgers, the very first game you know within you know, the first series. and it just sucks man. And for JP I know he’s going to have his space right, he’s going to get his mental right, and be back stronger and better than ever.

The highly anticipated trade in NFL history, Aaron Rodgers’ trade from the Green Bay Packers to the Jets, ended in a similar deep sorrow situation. While Rodgers seems all set on the path of recovery, Philips hardly looks as fortunate in the scenario. His injury could easily end up on the season-ending chart, with the severity updates coming forth soon.

The repercussions of synthetic turf are clearly evident. Emphasizing the issue, Mostert said, “We got to do something about this Turf this playing surface. Because obviously, it’s still a major problem even with you know trying to figure out what we can do, but I don’t know it just has to change.” With more complaints and injuries, the NFL might consider doing something about the turf, to make it favorable for the players. Meanwhile, let us know your thoughts on the turf at MetLife.
