It was an upsetting season for the New York Jets quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. And a rocky one for the franchise. Both the team and Rodgers are broken, and so are the fans. Therefore, the four-time MVP has a message for all the Jets’ fans out there.

The New York Jets ended their 2023 season with just 7 wins and 10 losses. Last year, when they traded Rodgers from the Packers, the fans thought this might be the time for the Jets to finally lift the Super Bowl after 55 years. However, after the season-ending injury to A-Rod, all hopes and dreams were dashed within just the first four snaps into the season. Rodgers, thankfully, has overcome the injury. He now has a heartfelt plea for the Jets’ fans.

The Jets quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who is back on the roster, recently appeared in a press conference of the Jets wearing the team’s upper. He talked to the media about his aim for the next season, as he looks ahead for the campaign to begin. When asked about if he wants to give a message to all the Jets’ fans out there, Rodgers said, “There’s 31 teams that have long troubling off seasons and it’s only one team that holds that trophy. We want to be that team.

He appealed to the fans, “I just want to say, just stick with us as you will and it’s going to be a long offseason for all of us so look forward to getting back here in April or whenever we get back out and start building the excitement like we did last year and hopefully have a little more good Fortune injury wise.

As Rodgers assured his fans that he and his team will come back even stronger, there is a question that keeps bugging every football enthusiast. And that is, will Rodgers’ comeback be enough to win a Super Bowl for the Jets?

What is the problem with the Jets besides Rodgers’ injury?

It’s true that Aaron Rodgers was brought into the team to win the Super Bowl. It is also true that after his entry, fans thought this might be the year to lift the Lombardi after 1969. But all that couldn’t happen. Rodgers is 40 years old now. Although he wants to play in his 40s, and is young in his determination, it’s important to consider the age factor and the more-injury prone body connection between them. However, as Tom Brady could do it at the age of 44, then why can’t Rodgers? A-Rod can definitely help Jets with his strategies, unrivaled precision, and his legendary experiences. But the fact is he can only ‘help!

Jets’ offensive line is one of the biggest issues the franchise is currently facing. The offense struggled due to various issues like the Dalvin Cook signing, an unstable offensive line, a lack of strong wide receivers, and ineffective tight ends. Also, the offensive line faced challenges with key player injuries, leading to constant shuffling and breakdowns.

The lineups changed in the season, including Mekhi Becton, Laken Tomlinson, Joe Tippman, Max Mitchell and Billy Turner, did not improve the situation. Like in the Chargers’ game, Mitchell’s switch to guard and Turner’s move to right tackle had unfavorable outcomes, with Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa constantly pressuring and causing turnovers. The offensive front had pre-existing concerns, and frequent changes worsened the situation, resulting in penalties and difficulties on the third down and in the red zone.

QB Zach Wilson faced challenges and scrutiny, but the major issue was the poor performance of the offensive line, contributing to the Jets’ 31st rank in the NFL offense ranking of 2023 (268.6 offensive yard average). So, the problem is not just Rodgers’ injury; the problem is the Jets’ entire O-Line.
