Lamar Jackson is everywhere these days. Not only is he gearing up for the next NFL season, but he’s also stepping into the acting world with a role in “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” as the character E-Tone. And if that wasn’t enough, he now wants to enter the NBA world too. Well, virtually at least! And we don’t think NBA players will have much of an issue with this.
You see, back in 2024, ‘The Athletic’ conducted an anonymous poll for NBA players and asked them who their favorite non-NBA athlete was. Surprisingly, Jackson received 13% of the votes, which was the highest. Similarly, it looks like the NFL player loves following sports other than football in his leisure time. That’s what his latest update suggests.
On Sunday, Jackson took to his official IG handle and shared a story, and it looks like the QB is all locked in for some NBA 2K action. The kicker? Well, after halftime, the 28-year-old QB seemed to be frustrated as he wrote, “Jus quit,” in his story. That definitely sounds relatable. The box score? It’s 43-5 at halftime. Now, we can assume that either Jackson is getting wrecked badly or, considering his competitive nature, he was just dominating and blowing out his opponent. While there’s no certainty about how he was playing, there is one game that the Ravens’ QB is surely leveling up in—Hollywood. Yeah, you read that right.

On Friday, Jackson announced his Hollywood debut with a guest appearance in Power Book III: Raising Kanan. He shared the news on his official IG handle with a couple of pictures of his character named, “E-Tone,” captioning, “I’m so excited for fans to see me in this new role and thrilled to be a part of “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.” My character, E-Tone is a deadly, dangerous character- you don’t want to get on his bad side!”
If we believe the show’s producer, the rapper, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the fans can expect his appearance sooner this week. That said, Jackson’s NBA 2K? Check. His Hollywood debut? Just around the corner. Now, all eyes are on his contract extension. What is that all about?
Lamar Jackson is waiting for something bigger!
When we talk about Lamar Jackson entering the gridiron, it’s either magic or madness—no in-between. One minute, he’s breaking ankles with a nasty juke, and the next, he’s launching a dime on the run like it’s nothing. But let’s be real—sometimes, even the two-time MVP needs a break, right?
While the teams were building their roster, QBs were signing record-breaking deals, and the whole NFL world was mesmerized by some jaw-dropping trades and releases, Jackson was out there grabbing a slice of pizza. A few days ago, a clip of Jackson shared by ML Football went viral on ‘X’, with a caption, “Baltimore #Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is test-tasting PIZZIA while the rest of the world is stressing out about free agency.” The kicker?

The QB responded to that post, confessing that the video was from last year, and dropped a bombshell for the front office. “This was Last yr…… lol I’m waiting like everyone else,” he wrote in his post, hinting at wanting a bigger contract. Well, the fans already know that the Ravens need key weapons in their arsenal for Jackson to lead in the 2025 season. So, what’s going on in the Ravens’ front office?

For starters, many considered this year’s free agency class weak. Second, at the starting of the free agency, the team has a salary cap space of around $12.2 million. And after signing Ronnie Stanley Jr. on a three-year massive contract worth $60 million, they are now looking at $7.5 million in effective cap space.

So yes, that’s not an ideal situation for the Ravens‘ front office to consider a contract extension for Lamar Jackson—at least for now. He signed a five-year, $260 million extension before the 2023 season.
