New home calling! This offseason, Mike Garafolo reported – “The #Browns are releasing veteran S Juan Thornhill, sources say. The team and Thornhill’s camp spoke in recent days and the decision was made to part ways now, giving Thornhill a few weeks before free agency to find his next home. Thornhill had one year at $7m left on his deal.” Generally, such news brings sadness to the departed player, but Juan Thornhill was still optimistic. With just a one-word reaction – “Blessed” – he captured the attention of his fans. Everyone wondered where the safety would sign next. Then the blessing came!

According to Jordan Schultz, “Former Browns safety Juan Thornhill is signing with the Steelers.” As per record, he is “a proven vet,” with 8 career INTs and 87 starts. Now that the player is signing with the gold and black, he has a very interesting reaction to share with his audience. So, what is it?

After news of Juan Thornhill’s new home signing broke, the 29-year-old player posted a video on his official TikTok account. He also shared the same on his Instagram account, where first he could be seen wearing a hat of the Browns. But as the video progressed, Thornhill ditched the hat, wearing a new one – of Pittsburgh. And if you think the story ended here, think again! Because Thornhill wasn’t done with just a hat replacement.

Instead, the safety picked up a Terrible Towel and blasted some “Renegade.” He was also seen happily dancing on the pumped up beat, while waving the towel in the air. Well, he needs to practice this dance often now! Whenever the Steelers need a game-changing stop in the second half, the stadium erupts with “Renegade” by Styx. This season, Juan Thornhill will hear that roar a lot.

After two seasons with the Browns, one of Pittsburgh‘s fiercest rivals, Juan Thornhill now wears black and gold. Before that, he spent four years in Kansas City, winning two Super Bowls. Now, he brings that winning mentality to the Steelers, ready to make an impact.

Juan Thornhill’s previous years didn’t go well either. Injuries kept him from making the impact he wanted. Calf issues sidelined him for long stretches, limiting him to just 11 games in both 2023 and 2024. He even faced calls to be benched. Still, he fought through it. As a result, the athlete racked up 103 tackles and four pass breakups in his time wearing the Browns’ uniform. And now, he has been poached by a divisional rival, the Steelers, in free agency. But the question is: for how many years?
