Juan Thornhill isn’t just a playmaker—he’s a walking storyline, inked right onto his skin. From Kansas City to Cleveland, his tattoos tell a tale, and now that he’s landed in Pittsburgh on a one-year deal, you already know what’s coming. Fans are losing their minds, wondering if the Steelers are about to get their own spot in his collection. Too soon to call? Probably. But let’s hit pause on that and talk about the real drama.

Because here’s the thing—Thornhill barely packed his bags for Pittsburgh, and Browns fans are already throwing a fit. And what’s he doing? Oh, just casually pulling up on Instagram to probably remind them they’re not as special as they think. Classic Juan.“Y’all pressed about the tattoo… it’s a journey tattoo. I got KC on there too and then I got drafted. Don’t feel too special,” he wrote in his IG story. Ouch! Guess the fans might not see that coming.

But why this whole drama in the first place? Let’s take a trip down memory lane. The Chiefs drafted Thornhill with 63rd overall pick back in 2019 draft. And, of course, to commemorate his entry in the NFL, the guy inked a tattoo of the NFL shield accompanied by his draft number. Fast forward a bit, the 29-year-old safety featured the KC’s arrowhead logo. And why wouldn’t he?

I mean, the guy contributed in two Super Bowl victories. So, it’s pretty obvious that he was going to honor his tenure with the team. Then came his two-year stint with the Browns, and guess what? The guy added “Brownie the Elf’s” tattoo to his collection as a commitment to the team. And now? Well, after playing a couple of seasons with the Browns, Thornhill signed a one-year $3 million deal with the Steelers. And that’s where things get pretty interesting.

After putting pen on paper for a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh team, Thornhill took to his official IG handle and celebrated—but not in a way the Browns fans had expected. See, the guy threw the Browns’ hat and donned the Steelers’ hat and let’s just say the Browns’ fans didn’t like it. The result?

Well, at first the fans back lashed him. And as a counterattack, the guy literally reminded them to not to feel special. Brutal. From both the parties. However, one thing’s for sure: the fans just find his celebration a bit awkward.

Fans find Juan Thornhill’s moves a bit awkward

On Monday, the comedian and actor, Cody Lewis Smith, shared a video of Juan Thornhill where the former Browns’ safety was seen switching from the Browns to the Steelers. “Y’all don’t get how turnt up I am!! Let’s go Brody!!! @juanthornhill,” Smith wrote in his IG story. In the video, Thornhill threw the Cleveland team’s hat and transitioned to the Pittsburgh team’s hat.

A few hours later, the Steelers Depot re-shared the video on their official ‘X’ handle while writing, “New Steelers S Juan Thornhill making the switch from Browns to Steelers on IG, via comedic_cody #Steelers #NFL.” Since then, the fans are giving mixed reaction to Mike Tomlin’s new signee to the Steelers.

What’s your perspective on:

Are Browns fans overreacting to Thornhill's tattoo, or is their frustration justified?

Have an interesting take?

One fan didn’t hold back and straight up commented, “This guy seems awkward.” And honestly? The video does have that energy—but awkward or not, the guy’s all in on Pittsburgh now. And of course, some fans were already over it. “Lets cut him now. I’ve seen enough,” one fan wrote. Well, if this person’s a Browns’ fan, then we can understand. But if this person’s a Steelers’ fan, then it’s probably a major concern. I mean, Thornhill just signed a deal with Pittsburgh—give him a game or two, at least.

And then, the take that always finds its way into the discourse as another fan chimed in and wrote, “The NFL is now the NBA. Sucks.” Well, that’s pretty wild. Just because someone switched a team and tossed a hat, it doesn’t mean the league is doomed, right?

However, on the flip side, not everyone’s hating those insane moves. “Underrated signing,” one fan pointed outHonestly, it’s pretty true. The Steelers need depth in their safety position and Juan Thornhill is coming with a resume. Moral of the story? Either you love it, hate it, or just here for the memes, Thornhill’s moves had everyone talking, something that’s usually reserved for his tattoos.
