Josh Dobbs has excelled at everything he has partaken in, from gridiron to his excellent academic background. And the Minnesota Vikings quarterback has his parents to thank for all the achievements.

Throughout his playing career from high school to the fast life of the NFL, Dobbs has been recognized as being humble and grounded. The QB has picked up these traits among many others from his father Robert Dobbs and mother Stephanie Dobbs.

A life of gratitude and ethics for Dobbs

Robert and Stephanie married in 1989 as young professionals. They welcomed their future footballer Joshua in 1995, but the couple did not let their ambitions take a backseat. This virtue of work ethic and commitment has been instilled in the QB as well.

The couple are devout Christians and are known in their community for volunteer work. They both have succeeded in their professional work as well. Dobbs’ mother Stephanie retired as a regional manager in corporate human resources working for the United Parcel Service (UPS).

His dad, on the other hand, a graduate from the University of Mississippi with an MBA in Finance, rose to the position of Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Bank. He retired from that position in 2021 and has continued working as Chief Financial Officer for multiple organizations. A life skill that unfortunately his 29-year-old has also become adept at!

Josh Dobbs has visited a lot of places

Dobbs was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2017 in the fourth round. In his 7 years of professional career, Dobbs has represented 7 different teams. With joining the rosters of the Steelers and the Cleveland Browns twice! Becoming a sort of journeyman in the NFL.

However, the quarterback became a revelation at the Vikings. With the top two choices Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall injured, Dobbs picked up the mantle and delivered winning plays for the team. But a couple of losses later and with Mullens and Hall back to fitness, the Passtronaut was relegated to be the third in line for QB once again at the Vikings.
