The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end has been on an upward curve since NFL Draft 2019. With a great 2023 season, Josh Allen might be getting franchise-tagged by the team for a $24 million contract, per ESPN. The linebacker has come a long way from playing football in Kentucky.
A week before his draft, Allen knew he wanted one thing for sure: an official ceremony with his now-wife Kaitlyn Morrison-Allen. Having moved to Lexington from Ohio, Kaitlyn met Allen, and just after Kentucky’s bowl game, the couple was engaged. Throughout the linebacker’s career, Kaitlyn has been his biggest supporter and stands right next to him before the 2024 season.

When the pandemic hit the world in 2020, it was like all life came to a standstill. The 2020 season was uncertain, and players were given a choice to participate, considering the hazards of the persistent virus. As if the general climate at the time wasn’t a deterrent enough, Allen welcomed a second son with Kaitlyn just four months prior.
In an interview with the Jacksonville website, Allen confessed he considered sitting out the season for his family’s safety and health.
“I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t [consider opting out]. My family is first, I don’t want to put my family in jeopardy of any harm that I bring to them. That was always something that I kept close to me.”
But Kaitlyn gave him the extra push he needed to go on to his job. “She knows what I’m striving for in my career,” Allen said. “She’s doing her best to keep the kids inside the house and keep them busy. I have a great support system in my house.”
The seventh overall pick played the 2020 season and worked his way up the ranks to secure his place today.

Allen got his son’s name on his NFL Draft jacket
In 2019, the seventh pick roamed with his wife and newborn son, Wesley. Allen was wearing a seemingly ordinary JCPenney suit jacket. That was until he opened it to show his son’s name and birth date printed on the lining. The text on the customized jacket read, WESLEY DEVON ALLEN, along with his date of birth, 1/3/18.

Allen has been consistently devoted to his wife and kids. Even before his draft, Allen was interviewed while leaving practice for a Halloween celebration with his newborn son. In an endearing conversation with the reporters, Allen shared that Wesley had been dressed as Woody from Toy Story by Kaitlyn.
Josh Allen is a true believer in putting his family first, and to balance that, Kaitlyn is ready with motivation for the DE to focus on his career. The pair stand by each other through thick and thin and are a prime example of where constant support and love can get one!
