MVP or Lombardi? That might be a tough question for some QBs, but those who ride and die for the team would choose the satisfaction of winning the championship. And that’s what Bills’ signal-caller Josh Allen wants.
“I can give 2 ‘you know whats’ about winning the MVP; the only thing I care about is raising that Lombardi Trophy.” Now that is how you shut down a question! Josh Allen made it clear on The Facility to Emmanuel Acho that individual awards mean nothing compared to hoisting that Super Bowl trophy.

Remember when he joked on the Pardon My Take podcast in July, “If that’s what it takes, I would do it,” about retiring to guarantee a Super Bowl win? Allen’s not just talking about winning—he’s all-in for the team, even if it means considering some pretty wild options.
The Bills have their own “non-repeat curse” to break. We’re talking about a franchise that went to four straight Super Bowls in the ’90s and came up empty each time. That still stings for Buffalo fans. Man, the NFC was on a whole different playing field back then. The Bills ran into the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys (twice!), and it wasn’t pretty. After that heartbreaker of a missed field goal in the first Super Bowl, it was like a punch to the gut.
But making it to four straight Super Bowls? That’s legendary stuff. One that no other team’s pulled off. Yet, people only seem to remember them for not winning because that’s another thing that no other team’s pulled off! You know how the pros go—if you ain’t first, you’re last. To be fair to them, they didn’t get out-coached. They just faced better teams.
You’re missing out if you haven’t seen Four Falls of Buffalo. ESPN did the Bills right with that one. Until then, you have got to have your eyes peeled on the present. Josh Allen knows exactly what Bills Mafia wants more than anything: that elusive Lombardi Trophy and a long-awaited parade through Buffalo.
And let’s be real—Allen is on a mission this season. Have you seen how he’s started 2024? The guy’s locked in on breaking that Buffalo drought.
Josh Allen’s walking the tightrope of brilliance and recklessness
Josh Allen might not have lit up the stat sheet against the Dolphins, but he didn’t need to. With an opportunistic defense on his side, he played smart and efficient football. On third-and-12, he rolled out and delivered a perfect pass to Ty Johnson for a key first down. Even though Allen only finished with 139 passing yards, he still led his team to a 17-7 lead. All the while battling an injured left hand. How’s that for gutsy?
Allen’s numbers this season might not scream MVP, but they still show he’s handling business. He’s thrown for 371 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions while adding 41 rushing yards and two scores on the ground. You could say he’s been playing with fire, balancing his reckless side while keeping the Bills undefeated. With 41 fantasy points in just two games, he’s proving he can adapt and still deliver for his team and fantasy managers alike.

Now, as the Bills prepare to face the Jaguars, the question is: Can Allen keep this controlled yet fiery play going? Jacksonville’s defense has been solid, but they haven’t faced a dual threat like Allen this season. Will he continue his act or will he get burned? Let us know.
