The Buffalo Bills made it to this year’s AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. They defeated the Baltimore Ravens with just 2 points in a very intense game. Now exhilarated by Sunday’s win, Josh Allen and his team have a message for the defeated Lamar Jackson.
With 16 of 22 attempts for 127 yards with zero touchdowns, Josh Allen led his team towards the victory. With this win, he even achieved an upper hand in winning this year’s MVP, his first ever. Despite that, we cannot forget last year’s MVP performance, who wasn’t just having his day on Sunday. Lamar Jackson put up a record of 18 out of 25 attempts for 254 yards with 2 touchdowns and one interception. He arguably played a great game. But three turnovers, which were pointed out by Allen in a post-game presser, crushed his effort.
Nevertheless, defeated Lamar Jackson is still hailed by his fans, including Josh Allen. An example of it was recently seen after the game ended at Highmark Stadium. When the reporter asked Allen to share a message for Lamar Jackson, the Bills’s quarterback admitted, “I just got so much respect and love for him. The way he plays the game, he is a true competitor. He’s a true football player. One of the greatest ever to step on the football field. So, nothing but love.” Spoken like a true sportsman.

The two MVP favorites of this year indeed share respect for each other. After the game, the 28-year-old quarterbacks shook hands and hugged each other for a while, wishing luck for their respective futures.
Now, as Josh Allen’s team won over the Ravens 27-25, they are heading to Arrowhead Stadium to face off against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. This upcoming AFC Championship game is surely going to be an exciting matchup as the two teams are quite familiar with each other.
Josh Allen has a message for Patrick Mahomes too!
When the Bills and Chiefs met back in November 2024, Josh Allen’s team won against them 30-21 at Highmark Stadium. After losing that matchup, Patrick Mahomes said to the 28-year-old QB, “We’ll do it again, baby.” In fact, Allen too chimed in with a similar thought, saying, “We’ll see you guys soon.” They both knew they would be meeting up next soon. True to their words, these two strong quarterbacks would do it again in the greatest thriller of the AFC Championship.

But this time when they will meet at Arrowhead Stadium, Josh Allen would be very well prepared. This is evident in what he said about Mahomes and the Chiefs during a sideline interview, “I can’t tell you [how the rematch will be different]. I just know we’re going to work hard. We’re going to have a heck of a week. Enjoy this one tonight and turn our attention to the Chiefs tomorrow. We know what they are. They’re the perennial of what you want to be in the NFL. Someone’s you’ve got to beat them to get past them.” Mahomes and Co. must watch out.
The Bills are 2-4 against the Chiefs in the playoffs as per NFL history. So, whether Josh Allen improves this record for him on a positive note or not, we will find out pretty soon!
