You’d think that taking your team through is good enough. Turns out, it isn’t. According to Polymarket Sports, Jackson has a 63.9% chance of winning MVP. Against this, Allen stands at 34%. These odds have certainly made Allen an underdog now. For, many fans this looked weird. But winning MVP depends on many factors.

Jackson was named to the NFL All-Pro first team, while Allen was named to the second team. Regarding the QB rankings, in the regular season, both stand at 77.3. In comparison, Jackson gets the edge in the postseason with him having 85.0 against Allen’s 80.9. Then there are some more stats. Jackson has achieved a career-high 4,172 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 915 rushing yards, and 4 rushing touchdowns. If you look at Allen he’s recorded 3,731 passing yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and 6 interceptions, with 531 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. All these factors play a major role in the MVP race. But for Jackson, he has something to say about MVP.

After the game, Jackson spoke about what he spoke to Allen about. He said, “Great players recognize greatness, and we both recognize each other, but I told him, ‘Man, go get something. Go win something. MVP or Super Bowl. Do something.’ I want him to be successful.” This might sound wholesome to some now, but it wasn’t long ago when he had a different opinion. He had commented on not being friends with Allen. But this shows that these athletes are professionals, and they know how to give respect when it’s due.

That’s how it should be. Be competitive when it matters, and shake hands when it’s done. Jackson couldn’t help his team even after the last-minute efforts, now he has backed Allen to go all the way.
