The Buffalo Bills are facing a tough road ahead, with predictions of a difficult season looming large. According to sports commentator Craig Carton, the Bills might only secure a single-digit number of wins this season due to a lack of talent surrounding their star quarterback, Josh Allen.
Previously, the Bills have reached the divisional round of the playoffs three consecutive times without advancing further, a record since the NFL expanded to 32 teams in 2002. The Chiefs have eliminated them three times in four seasons despite building a roster to counter Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

In a recent episode of the Craig Carton Live podcast, Carton said, “Josh Allen is a great quarterback and a top ten quarterback is going to have a major year backwards this year. Not because he got worse, but the talent around him got worse. This is going to be a single digit win here for the Buffalo Bills. And we could worry about the Bills again twelve months from now because this is going to be a terrible year for them.”

Craig further stated that Buffalo’s defense is weak, and they lack quality wide receivers for passing plays. Dalvin and Joe Brady did a great job by realizing the need to shift the offense’s focus. They committed more to running the ball, reducing the pressure on Josh Allen to make exceptional plays on every possession.
Though Carton is not confident about the Buffalo Bills’ safety is confident about the team’s potential.

Bills remain optimistic about future
Reflecting on their close 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Bills safety Micah Hyde said soon after the loss last year, “Every year when you lose, you wake up the next day and you’re filled with so much frustration because you weren’t able to get it done. But this morning I woke up and I’m just like, ‘Wow, like that was a run.’ That was an amazing run we went on and I’m forever grateful for this team, their hard work, the resilience that they showed.”
Defensive lineman Greg Rousseau, after the loss, emphasized resilience, saying, “This year it’s a toss-up, shit happens, come back next year.” In the face of another disappointing end to their season, Rousseau’s perspective serves as an important reminder of the mindset required to overcome adversity and continue striving for success.

Buffalo has also led by at least seven points in four of their last five playoff losses, including three in the fourth quarter. Josh Allen said after the defeat last year, “This isn’t something that we’re going to run from. It’s not something we’re going to hide from. We got to take it on the chin and continue to learn and get better,” With the team facing significant changes and predictions of a tough season, the Bills must navigate a challenging offseason.
Only time will tell if they can overcome these challenges and return to playoff contention.
