You know, if Josh Allen wasn’t out there hurling touchdowns for the Bills, there’s a good chance he’d be swinging clubs on the PGA Tour. The guy doesn’t just like golf—he’s borderline obsessed. Built a custom par-3 course in his backyard? Check. Owns a swing simulator? Of course. Skipped the Pro Bowl just to play at Pebble Beach? Absolutely. So now, after yet another gut-wrenching playoff exit, he’s doing what any heartbroken QB does.

After winning his first MVP of his career, the Bills’ QB has now traded his helmet with a golf cap, pretending football doesn’t exist for a while. On Friday, Allen joined the Vikings‘ QB, Sam Darnold, and the Steelers‘ QB, Kyle Allen for a round of golf. Yeah, you read that right. While the offseason is heating up with jaw-dropping trades and releases, the QBs are hitting the greens together.

And the hype is real, folks. The three QBs teamed up with Robby Berger (Bob Does Sports) along with his co-hosts, Joe Demare (Joey Cold Cuts), and Nick Stubble (Fat Perez) for a round called the “Rematch of the Century.” Berger hit up his official Instagram handle and shared a glimpse of the QBs with a caption that reads, “The QBs are back for the rematch of the century…coming soon.”

Allen’s Super Bowl dream was crushed after a heartbreaking 32-29 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. However, the QB recorded the best season of his career, finishing the 2024 campaign with 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns, along with 513 rushing yards and 12 scores.

On the other hand, it’s safe to say that Darnold signing a one-year deal with the Vikings in 2024 was one of the best decisions of his career. I mean, the guy recorded 4,319 yards with 35 touchdowns. Sure, the 27-year-old QB is probably not returning to the Vikings and now a free agent, but one thing’s for sure: he is enjoying the offseason with Allen, hitting the golf course and sharing laughs over a few swings.

And if we talk about Kyle Allen…well, the guy’s been trying to uplift his career after that 2019 season with the Panthers. But when it comes to golf, Kyle is kinda a golf partner to Josh Allen. Remember when both the Allens teamed up for a golf match and nearly turned the fairway into a QB showdown? Yeah, that actually happened a year ago and is well-documented on a YouTube video titled, “We Challenged Josh Allen and Kyle Allen To A Golf Match.”

Fast forward to now and Kyle is back with his golf buddy to play another round of golf. Because let’s be real—we all know that Josh Allen is an avid golfer and says it is one of his favorite activities. But watching Darnold and Kyle Allen teaming up with him was surely not on our bucket list.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Josh Allen's golf obsession a distraction, or does it make him a better quarterback?

Josh Allen to compete in his second-favorite sport

After Allen and the Bills were eliminated from the Playoffs, the first-time MVP skipped the Pro Bowl following his wrist injury. And when asked about his offseason plans, the QB straight up admitted that he wants his body to be in good condition before getting back to work. “Get away, let the body heal,” he said. “Just trying to make sure that my body’s in as good as condition as it can be given maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work.”

Fast forward to a few weeks, the 28-year-old QB announced that he’s preparing to participate in his second-favorite sport this summer. On Feb 28, Allen took to his official Instagram handle and announced his participation in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship. “Headed back to Tahoe for the @acchampionship – See y’all on the course!” He captioned.

Come on, this isn’t our first time watching Allen go at it in the championship, right? The last time he competed in the ACC golf championship, the guy finished in a tie for 20th place. The kicker? Well, it’s a solid improvement from his 37th place finish in 2023. Now, he must be looking to level-up his game because there’s a star-studded line-up of competitors who are waiting for him on the course.
