Is Josh Allen the savior Buffalo has been waiting for to finally clinch the ultimate glory?

We are already three weeks into the 2024 regular season and there is already quite the buzz around who could be this year’s MVP. In recent years, the prestigious title has been seen getting predominantly handed over to the QBs of the league. This is why a former NFL star found it best to confront Josh Allen to know his perspective.

On The Facility, the 28-year-old showed us that winning the MVP title is not his biggest concern this season. Seeking personal glory in a team game like American football is often not ideal and the Bills quarterback proves that he is the best leader that the team could ask for.

Emmanuel Acho had the chance to invite Allen to the show that he co-hosts with three other gentlemen. Since the former linebacker is himself an MVP voter, he wished to know what Josh thought of winning the title and whether he has set some personal goals for himself to become this season’s certified best player.

I can give 2 ‘you know whats’ about winning the MVP. The only thing I care about is raising that Lombardi Trophy,” said the star quarterback for Buffalo Bills. He was even nice enough to censor his speech to make his impact more PG-friendly. And this statement won over Acho.

Buffalo Bills have never won the Lombardi Trophy before. This is exactly what makes Josh Allen‘s comment even more inspiring. He could very well end a 33-year drought for Buffalo Bills because the last time there was an MVP from their team was the year 1991. Instead, his commitment towards making the team win this coming Super Bowl is impressive enough to capture Acho’s attention.

Could Josh Allen indirectly become the MVP this season?

Have an interesting take?

Unlike many other titles in the sports world, the MVP isn’t chosen on a skill basis. Rather, voters like Emmanuel himself pick five names in a ranked order and each vote is counted as one for any given athlete. Now, every voter can have their own criterion based on which they rank others. However, it seems like Josh Allen has already entered Acho’s good books by showing concern for the Bills. When the co-host reposted the quarterback’s interview moment, he had a positive remark about him that he publicly put in his tweet.

Emmanuel Acho confessed in the tweet: “His answer again proves, Bills fans, you have the perfect QB.” Fans are hardly ever fully content with their favorite team, but Acho would like to plead with Buffalo fans to accept Josh Allen for his leadership qualities.

The Buffalos are moving on to their third week game on Monday. So far, they are trailing 1-1. Whether they will end up with a victory or a loss is yet to be seen. However, after seeing this short interview, there may be more fans rooting for Allen. Who knows? Maybe he will bag the MVP title this year and take the Lombardi home.
