That January 26 loss? It was real. No dream, no illusion-just pure heartbreak. Buffalo Bills fans who still wish it wasn’t? You’re not alone. The pain of coming so close, only to have it slip away, cuts deep even for Josh Allen too. After all these years, he finally had a chance at the Super Bowl… and then, just like that, it was gone. And it’s clearly visible in Allen’s comments too.
During an interview on Sunday, Josh Allen expressed his thoughts about missing out on playing in the Super Bowl this year, “It s–-ks.” After losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game with just three points, it’s hard for Allen and the Bills nation to forget their losing moment.
Hence, Josh Allen further added, “You sit here thinking about everything that you could have done differently. I’m having dreams about certain plays that I wish I could have back. There’s no easy way about it, there are 30 other teams out there gonna be watching the Super Bowl from their couch,” while speaking about it.

With his comments, it’s clear that this AFC loss is haunting Josh Allen. But, has everything ended for Allen for this year? Actually, not everything!
Allen finished the season with 307 completions on 483 attempts for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns. The defenders managed to intercept him just 6 times in the 17 regular season games. Now that’s an MVP year for him. So, although the 28-year-old missed out on a Super Bowl ring this time, he could still potentially win the MVP award.
And for Lombardi? He will try next year. Until then, he might be rooting for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs this time.
Josh Allen sent a Super Bowl message to Patrick Mahomes?
The Super Bowl LIX is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. Or to be precise, it’s a rematch for the Kansas City Chiefs and a revengeful game for the Philadelphia Eagles. Though Jalen Hurts doesn’t want to talk about their previous loss to Patrick Mahomes’s team and hopes for a win this time, Josh Allen wants his AFC friend to win again.

This is evident in what Allen said after the AFC matchup at Arrowhead Stadium. After Mahomes’s team won over the Bills, the quarterbacks went close to each other for a post-game friendly hug. The two quarterbacks’ conversation was easily audible. Mahomes, who knew Josh Allen’s MVP performance, also acknowledged the athlete, saying, “Hell of a year, man. Hell of a year.”

In return, Josh Allen also delivered his message to Mahomes, saying, “Go get another one.” His message was clear. After falling short in the AFC, Allen now hopes Grim Reaper and his team achieve their 3-peat. The Super Bowl matchup is set to kick off on Sunday, February 9, in New Orleans.
