Green Bay Packers and HC Matt LaFleur have been rewarded for their patience in seeing Jordan Love return to action. The QB was injured in the season-opening defeat to the Eagles, which had the Packers fanbase sweating. But he made his return in Week 4 against the Vikings and hasn’t looked back since. He even put up a record-breaking performance against the Cardinals last week. Love again stepped up in the most recent outing against the Texans.
The Packers were down by one point with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Love charged up the field leading a drive that ended with a game-winning 45-yard field goal by Brandon McManus, giving the Packers a 24-22 win on Sunday. Cue wild celebrations on the field and in the stands. This result took the Packers to 5-2 overall and it was their third consecutive win.
Among those celebrating the win is Love’s fiance and famous volleyball star Ronika Stone. Stone who recently shared her preparations for her wedding with Love, once again took to her social to express her delight at the Packers’ stunning win thanks to her Love.

Jordan Love’s bride-to-be shared a snap of LaFleur with a caption, “A win is MF win,” on her Instagram stories. LaFleur’s image featured the HC’s remark, “I want to Vomit-Matt LaFleur.” If you are scratching your head as to what these words mean, well to understand them we have to go back to August 12.
Before the season got underway, LaFleur was repeatedly asked whether his team had a true No. 1 receiver. So the HC had enough when he addressed the media in August regarding the situation. LaFleur said, “I want to vomit every time I hear ‘No. 1 receiver,’ to be honest with you. It drives me crazy. That’s something that you guys talk about. I feel like we’ve got a bunch of ’em.”
Last season they had then-rookie Jayden Reed leading the way with 64 catches and 793 yards with Christian Watson having the best yards-per-catch average with 15.1 but he could only play nine games due to a recurring hamstring injury. Dontayvion Wicks, another rookie, ranked second to Watson last season with a 14.9-yard average with four touchdowns.
Nevertheless, this season LaFleur is proving that his Packers side is more than capable of going to the deep end of the season with another splendid win, with Jordan Love at the center of it all.
