Jordan Love may not be considered among the elite quarterbacks (top 3) for now. But the Green Bay Packers star is arguably likely to knock on the door of the QB list anytime soon in the league. The franchise lost to the Super Bowl champs in the wildcard round. And Love is taking it as a learning phase for him.

On Sunday, Jordan Love shared a post on his official Instagram account. This new update includes a carousel of images and videos from this past season, featuring him and his teammates In the first short clip, the Packers’ QB could be seen walking on the gridiron while putting on his helmet.

In some of the other pictures, we can see Jordan Love sitting with his teammates in the locker room. In other slides, we can see the quarterback in motion and making memorable moments with his team off the field. The shared snaps perfectly sum up the Packers’ journey of the 2024 season. Hence, capturing that in the caption, Love expressed, “What a year! Full of ups and downs.. highs and lows.. and lessons along the journey.. but love playing with my guys! We back next season.”

Jordan Love and his Packers were pretty close to their Super Bowl. However, they were defeated by the SB champs Eagles. Love had a serious injury at the start of the season. But he came back stronger, playing 15 games. He completed 268 of 425 pass attempts for 3,389 yards. He capped this off with 25 touchdowns despite being intercepted 11 times.

They lost the chance once again to get to the Super Bowl, something the Packers haven’t won since 2011. Nevertheless, the opportunity isn’t over for them and their QB. Hence, Love mentioned that the team will come back stronger, after learning from their “ups and downs.

Until then, the team is trying to make some necessary changes this offseason. And it all starts with Jordan Love’s teammate, Jaire Alexander.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Jordan Love lead the Packers to a Super Bowl, or is he just another hopeful?

Have an interesting take?

Are Jordan Love’s Packers getting rid of Jaire Alexander?

Jordan Love’s Packers reportedly seem frustrated with their cornerback, Jaire Alexander. The reason could be his inability to stay fit. According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, “There are strong indications that Alexander’s time with the Packers will end without him playing another down. Multiple team sources have privately expressed their frustration with Alexander’s inability to stay healthy and/or play through injuries.”

Alexander is slated to earn $17.5 million in cash for his 2025 season. But with his recent injury history – only playing seven or fewer games in three of the last four seasons – the Packers might not stick to that number. However, let’s not forget he made the Pro Bowl and All-Pro in his last two full seasons. That counts for something, right? But there is an issue.

The real issue is his $19.1 million dead cap hit. So, according to ESPN, cutting him wouldn’t save the Packers much less than $6 million in 2025. In fact, releasing him would be one of the priciest moves in NFL history.

The Packers could wait until after June 1, freeing up cap space later, but it would hit them again in 2026. Hence, it might make more sense for Green Bay to just bite the bullet in 2025 and clear the dead cap for good by 2026. Tough choice ahead for Jordan Love’s team.
