Accidents are not new to the NFL and Jordan Love is one of the most recent victims during the Green Bay Packers‘ latest game. During his first match of the 2024 season, the Quarterback got sacked with only a few moments remaining until the final whistle. Although the Philadelphia Eagles were winning either way, this came as a shocker for the Packers, nevertheless.
All of this happened during a historic match. The Packers and Eagles faced each other in a first-time-ever match in Brazil. Despite all the backlash from fans and athletes, the NFL still made this happen, only to see an important person from one teams getting injured. But what now?
Is it good news or bad news for Jordan Love?

After the ball was snapped back to the Quarterback during one of the downs, he quickly wanted to make a decision, as is part of his profile. However, failing to do so resulted in a sack that cost him more than just a wasted down. One of his legs was caught in the middle of it all.
The injury didn’t seem brutal at first, but it seems like he could be out of the field for a while at the least. There is a new update on the situation. The injury seems to have originated on his leg, but if you were considering a possible ankle injury, you may be wrong. Dianna Russini reported that “an ankle injury has been ruled out at this point.” The NFL insider also added, “Right now, it’s just wait-and-see for more information on the injury.”
When the Packers land, Jordan Love will get an MRI. I’m told an ankle injury has been ruled out at this point.

So, until the said MRI hasn’t taken place, the Packers’ quarterback situation seems a bit hazy. There were primary doubts about it being a potential high-ankle or ACL injury. With the ankle likely having been ruled out, it could be an ACL torn. If that’s the case, then Jalen Carter accidentally gave the Packers more trouble than they wanted.
Carter opened up about Jordan Love’s injury
American football is a sport that can be rough on a usual day. So, when it gets ‘really rough’, things can go south pretty quickly. That’s exactly what happened with Jordan Love. The QB for the Packers couldn’t make a decision as fast as he wanted to and ended up getting sacked behind the line of scrimmage. Commonly, this wouldn’t be a big deal, but fate had other plans for him. The defensive tackle from Philadelphia Eagles was primarily the athlete who tackled the opponent QB which resulted in the accidental injury. Although the severity of it still hasn’t been confirmed, Jalen Carter started receiving death threats and racist comments on social media.

He took a screenshot of his Instagram DM and uploaded it on his story. This is also when he broke silence on his fellow NFL athlete’s injury that he played a part in. Carter wished Jordan Love a speedy and healthy recovery from the mysterious injury that took place during their match. Hopefully, the MRI will bring nothing dreadful forward and we will get to see Love making the calls on the gridiron during Packers’ next match in this season.
