The Miami Dolphins failed to secure a playoff spot this season. But the latest Pro Bowl snub has definitely added salt to the wound for them. Yes! The NFL announced Pro Bowl rosters for AFC and NFC on Thursday morning. And Phins’ players expressed their opinions about the selection.
Surprisingly, no player from the Dolphins got chosen this time. Hence, it was obvious for the reporters to flood questions related to this to the Phins’ players. And to answer this, who could be better than Jonnu Smith, the player who became the first TE in Dolphins history with at least 100 yards and two scores this season? Smith might have been expecting his name on the list.
But as the NFL snubbed him out, Smith said, “I thought I did (on making the Pro Bowl). My first time ever being recognized for a respectful honor, and congratulation to all the guys who have made it. They are deserving.” Smith’s snub is perhaps one of the biggest headlines of this Pro Bowl selection.

Damn: #Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith says it’s a “slap in the face” that no #Dolphins players made the Pro Bowl:
“I thought I did…Congrats to the guys that did.”

It is because the Dolphins’s tight end ranked fourth among the TEs and third in the league, with his 828 yards and seven-touchdown records this season. Moreover, no player being selected for the Pro Bowl this time adds up to more upset for the team. Hence, while speaking about it, Jonnu Smith said, “That was kind of a slap in the face. I felt like a few guys were deserving, for sure. At the end of the day, we play this game to win championships. Pro Bowls, that’s extra that comes with it.”
It was a good way to distract from reality. But the snub is undeniable. Last year, six players represented Miami in the Pro Bowl, including Tyreek Hill. However, this time, the WR is not even selected for that “extra.” Nevertheless, Hill is happy for his former team.

Well, Travis Kelce, despite an average season, finished first on the list. And, via NFL.com reporter Kevin Patra, Smith’s snubbing is also allegedly related to Kelce and Brock Bowers, who put up a historic season by setting the NFL records for most catches in a season by a rookie, and for most yards in a season by a rookie tight end. Nevertheless, as Smith isn’t happy with his snubbing, Tyreek Hill still finds a way to be cheerful with a heavy heart.
As the Chiefs are heading towards their playoffs soon, Tyreek Hill shared a New Year message to his NFL fans and community with a twist. On January 1, he took to his official X account, and said, “Happy new year especially to the chiefs.” Well, this message from Hill sparked a major buzz among social media users, who again started to think about any possible future marriage between the WR and the Chiefs.

In fact, fans’ comments such as, “#ChiefsKingdom loves you!!!! We will need you for FOURpeat!!!!! We need your back flips and magical hands and speed!!!!” or “bros going back to his ex in 2025,” all suggest their doubts and wish for this reunion.
Earlier, Hill revealed that when the Chiefs won their first Super Bowl without him in 2022, he felt jealous. However, in the next year’s win, the WR consoled himself. He was happy with the Chiefs moving ahead. But people speculated that part of him still craved his former team, especially seeing them win.
