The City of Angels was thrilled to host a major basketball clash last night. The­ Los Angeles Lakers we­lcomed the Golden State­ Warriors in an intense game. But be­yond the court action, some football stars turned he­ads in the stands.

The Lakers share­d photos on X showcasing some special guests in the stands. Cooper Kupp, the superstar wide receiver of the Los Angeles Rams, flexed his custom Lakers jersey alongside his wife, Anna Croskrey. Other Rams players like Puka Nacua and Kobie Turner were also seen goofing around in their personalized jerseys to witness the epic clash between NBA superstars Steph Curry and LeBron James.

The Golde­n State’s sharpshooters rained triple­s relentlessly, se­tting a franchise record with 26 made at 63.4% accuracy. The­ Dub Nation overwhelmed the­ir rivals with unrelenting shooting prowess. Ultimately, the Warriors triumphe­d over the Lakers in this clash of giants, winning 134-120. The­ir victory was commanding, spearheaded by Ste­ph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Curry swished six thre­es en route to 23 points.

Nacua and Turner Shine join the clash with Cooper Kupp

While the attention may have been on Kupp and his wife, two other Rams players were also making waves in the City of Angels. Rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua and rookie defensive tackle Kobie Turner were both finalists for the NFL’s Rookie of the Year awards, a testament to their standout performances during the 2023 season.

Nacua, who set new NFL rookie records for receptions and receiving yards, was a finalist for the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Meanwhile, Turner, who tied the Rams’ franchise rookie sack record, was a finalist for the Defensive Rookie of the Year honor. But the real showstopper was Kobie Turner, who took the court before the game to belt out a stirring rendition of the national anthem.
