All Joey and Nick’s mom, Cheryl Bosa, wanted was to see her sons donning the same colors. Since the Chargers announced they were releasing their DE after nine seasons, people have been curious to see where he could end up next. The Chargers have been planning to cut him since last year, following his declining stats and injury struggles. Last season, Bosa took a pay cut and eventually kept him on the roster. But now, it was finally time for Joey Bosa‘s Chargers era to end. The DE was on his last year of contract, but before it could expire, the team made Joey pack his bags.
As Joey entered the free market, his mom, Cheryl, hoped the Niners could pick him up to unite him with his brother, Nick Bosa. Cheryl took to her IG, reposting a fan’s post, which read, “Can we get a petition going on bringing @jbbigbear to the Bay.”
Honestly, it would have been interesting to watch the two brothers rocking the gridiron together. From playing in the backyard at home to playing on the NFL gridiron, that would have made quite a story.

Joey’s brother, Nick, also reposted the fan-made edit. The rumors grew louder, with many reporting the Niners might have a chance to sign Joey. Despite all the injuries, the DE was still seen as one of the top defensive players in the free market.
But then, the Bills entered and crushed all the dreams of seeing the Bosa brothers in the same colors.
Bills snatch Joey Bosa, leaving mom Cheryl disappointed
After a week of leaving LA, Joey Bosa found a new home. The former Chargers DE will now be on the Bills’ squad. So Joey will be heading to cold Buffalo instead of California. As per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 29-year-old has agreed on a one-year deal worth $12.6 million with the Bills. And that’s comparatively more than what the Niners and the Dolphins were offering him.

What’s your perspective on:
Did Joey Bosa choose money over family loyalty by snubbing the 49ers for the Bills?
Have an interesting take?
Joey’s brother’s team tried to lure him for $10 million, while Miami did not even offer him a two-digit contract. The Dolphins were reportedly offering the 2016 Defensive Rookie of the Year a deal worth $8 million. Well, the money talks. Joey would now get to experience playing with a different team for the first time in his nine-year career. Interestingly, he did land on a fine team. Buffalo was close to making it to the Super Bowl, but the Kansas City Chiefs came in and took those chances away.
So, it will be a fresh start for Joey as well. The DE’s past seasons have not been hot enough. It’s exactly why the Chargers did not spend any more dollars on him. Bosa missed 23 games over the past three seasons, and this has got the Bills Mafia concerned, as they are not exactly on board with their team signing Joey.

But cut Joey some slack, eh? He is only 29 and has been good with the ball. The DE has made it to five Pro Bowls. So maybe he could overturn the past three years with this year’s performance.
